Finally this has been on topic for debate for so long killers like ghostface pig or freddy denying borrowed by just existing. And it finally counters insidious bubba countering camping kinda. Anyone else excited for this?

I'm actually really happy about this. It was a needed change. Very unpopular but now it does its' job just like DS is a deterrence. Proud of Behaviour for getting out of their comfort zone.

BT is OP now. Or in other words, BT nerfs stealth killers hard. Stealth killers usually have it harder. But now it will be almost pointless to play any stealth killers/builds.
I guess people want to see Oni all day.

Anyone find it ironic how they made Freddy's alarm clocks give survivors immunity from the dream world for 30 seconds.. but also removed the terror radius function from borrowed time?
It looks like they were adding a counterplay option at first so survivors could use borrowed time against Freddy but then decided to change BT altogether. Seems like it should be one or the other.

You mean it actually works against the bubba camping with insidious in the basement knowing bt doesnt affect him?

Very happy about it. I would have preferred they left the endurance duration as is and removed body blocking with it but it's still an amazing change.

Good change, some people are unhappy. But overall I don't see why. It will help against campers. If a person is not camping regardless broken status won't affect them.

It also works against GF, Myers, Pig, Wraith, or any other killer that relys on stealth.

Awful change, imo.
BT has been consistently buffed for the last few years. I legitimately only ever see it used to farm a Survivor as soon as my back is turned.
Make it time and distance based. If a Killer is within X meters of a hooked Survivor for X seconds, BT can activate.

if by "relying on stealth" you mean: "relying on stealth to counter an anti-camp perk that cant do its job without a Terror Radius" then yes, that is the exact reason why it was changed. thanks for coming.

I wonder if it just pasively activates always after unhooking. It seems much stronger now so I would like to see additional change that removes collision while affected by BT so it's not used for body blocking so much now that the only counter was removed.

I just want to know when Insidious will be reworked, it was only really good as a camping perk and it's almost useless now.

Nerfing half the killer roster (killers that arent considered OP to begin with) is a great way to make sure that only 2 meta killers will be used.
I guess, enjoy playing 24/7 against Spirit and Nurse.

It's a good change for sure. Nothing like being pulled off the hook by a teammate with BT who didn't understand the terror radius effect on it 🤦♂️

The only time I've seen BT proc in the past 3 months has been when Survivors rush hook as soon as I start to leave. That's not what BT is supposed to do.
As I said earlier, make it distance and time based. It still punishes campers but it can't be abused anymore.

It doesn’t nerf any killers though, it needs campers. If you don’t camp it makes no difference

You know that if someone is being unhooked in your face that there’s an unhooker you can go for? Or does your tunnel vision not allow you to see them?

It's the same time investment and a lose-lose.
They both have two health states because a Survivor unhooked in my face. That needs to change.
Also, stop insulting and attacking people, it hurts your argument :)

Firstly, playing against Oni is a lot of fun.
Secondly, please explain how this nerfs stealth killers because that's actually hilarious. Borrowed Time counters proxy campers and nothing else. Stealth killers could get around that by not having a terror radius which is especially ridiculous on Killers like Freddy. Now you can't do that. It doesn't nerf stealth killers, it nerfs campers.
All these people saying "enjoy playing X killer all the time now" like I don't already see people abusing Nurse and Spirit. If you're playing a stealth killer for the sole purpose of abusing how it interacts with BT, you're already not fun to play against. So sure, go play Spirit. Nobody cares. You're obviously going to camp either way, what difference does it make? I'll have just as much fun playing against a Spirit as I will a Ghost Face who's just proxy camping stealthed in a corner waiting for someone to unhook in front of them. Your arguments make no sense.

I think its permanent immunity until you've gotten hit. But you have 30 seconds before getting hit will put you in dream. That was my understanding anyway

How is getting a free down on the unhooker a lose lose? They just saved you all that time you was gonna waste finding and catching a survivor.

I wish, I was watching a big streamer, and of he was not happy with this change. Again I don't see nothing wrong with. If a killer is not a camper, they are not be near the hook most likely. So it means this literally won't affect them, unless they get back in and find the person in 12 seconds.

The problem IMO is that BT very much mitigates the punishment for a bad/sloppy save.

Not really, you get a free hit/down on the unhooker in the time you would have spent traversing the map trying to find someone. This just prevents the hooked from getting farmed

If you don't get immediately downed for trying to unhook right in front of a Killer before they leave, either the Killer sucks or BT is heavily mitigating the punishment.

Nah, you are immune to get back to sleep for 30 seconds. This means that you will at least have 30 seconds of being awake guaranteed, which makes the Clocks more worth to get. Nothing is more annoying than running full map to get a clock, just to put asleep by a Hit 10 seconds later.

How is it a free down?
You need to go through at LEAST two health states (and probably DH). That's an easy 45 seconds of time lost because of a perk and there is nothing you can do to counterplay it.
Are you telling me you are opposed to the change I presented. I'll list it again, "If the Killer is within X meters for X seconds, BT can be activated upon unhook."
There is no reason to oppose that change unless you are actively abusing BT to perform unsafe unhooks that would otherwise be punished.

I was deeply puzzled by their Oni comment. He's one of the best designed Killers in the game. Somehow stealth killers not being able to camp is going to ruin the game for everyone cause stealth camping has been nerfed and Oni might be more used more?!? Sounds like a win to me.

Exactly so this change is a good thing, as long as you don’t go for the one who just got unhooked, the killer will always be rewarded with free hit/down if you don’t go straight for the person being unhooked.

It shouldn't, not completely unrestricted.
It should be restricted based on time, if I am turning to leave the hook because I saw someone on BBQ, I shouldn't be punished for camping when all I did was hook the Survivor. Surely, you can see the validity in that.

As survivor, yeah, this is a good change. It was a pain in the ass to try to bait camping Wraiths just to make sure BT would proc. And Freddy sure as hell didn't need a built-in BT counter.
As someone who plays Tier 1 Mikey, this is another thing that makes him weaker. That does make me sad.

Stealth killers can go for the survivor who made the rescue like anyone else.
Hell stealth killers can go in for the grab and prevent the rescue altogether.

Well you get a free hit at least which you wouldn’t have otherwise. Still saves you a ######### load of time you would have spent finding the next survivor and chasing them down.
I have nothing against your suggestion, I’m just saying it’s better now then it was. Only argument against is that when you’re hooked you can’t control what your team mates do, solo survivors could get farmed, but it happens anyway when the unhooker doesn’t have bt so I’d be fine with the change

Should that be the fault of the unhooked though? Your saying you should be able to down the person through borrowed because someone made a dumb save. But the whole reason for this change is so that survivor gets a chance. They shouldn't be the one punished for this the hooker should be should they not? Which you can punish them by smacking then downing the unhooker when they finish the animation. Id argue i shouldn't be redowned because a teammate was a idiot. Because whos really getting punished especially if they get away scott free. Me who just got farmed or the survivor now running away.

It mitigates the punishment for the person being unhooked, and since they have no control over when they get unhooked I agree with it. The unhooker is still punished if you go for them.

You don't get a free hit tho? The unhooker doesn't just sit and wait for you to hit them, they run as soon as they finish saving the guy on hook.
This change is absolutely fine, if they put in that additional requirement.

It mitigates the punishment for the whole team by making it so Killer can't just put someone back on the hook as punishment for a dumb save. The amount of leeway the unhooker gets is increased significantly, which allows these bad saves to not be punished properly.

You should be re-downed because your teammate was an idiot.
If your teammate cleanses Haunted Grounds, it isn't just them who is Exposed, it's your whole team.
If your team makes a dumb play, you SHOULD be punished for it. It's a team game, one person can't win the game and the actions of others have consequences on you.

Ah yes its totally my fault as the solo q survivor when the steve with borrowed comes up and unhooks me 3 feet after the killer left. I should be redowned and think of what I've done being on the hook how dare i.
