Was the Twins change really necessary?

The Twins are already extremely rare but this nerf is going to seriously hurt them even more. I understand that sometimes victor can be extremely oppressive and go on a mass slugging spree, but to just give them a nerf and not at least buff something else in their kit seems unreasonable. At the very least you can slightly reduce the cooldown victor has when missing an attack or something else at least, something to make more people want to play them.

What are your guys thoughts on the change?

Most Victors are basically inserted into your ankles before they leap. I love my longer ranged raptor pounces when I play him, but let's not pretend most Twins and the the most effective pounce is basically going to hit 100% of the time cause he is practically under your feet already.

Not saying I agree with the nerf though.

Dunno why they nerfed an already lackluster Killer.

    Same as Freddy's changes. Unnecessary.

Absolutely not necessary. It's even longer than legion's stun.

Twins Op they needed nerf...not like people spam twins every match.

Yeah, it sucks because the camera change was actually half decent.

There is no way in hell the Twin's win rates were high enough to warrant a nerf of -any- kind, so I don't understand why that happened at all.

Yes, but it probably didn't go far enough. The issue with Twins is that, for the killer, they're pretty complex to play and it's hard to get maximum efficiency playing as them. Remember old Doctor? He had a very high skill ceiling, but there were so many intricacies that no matter how you played him, you felt like you weren't playing him at his best, or in the correct way. For survivors, the dual presence of a killer means rampant camping, and Victor is a very good slugger.

They nerfed Victor without buffing him by being unable to be kicked while successfully downing a survivor.

It so stupid that they nerfed one of the weakest and badly designed killer in the game

This is a fair change to successful pounce cooldown when putting someone in dying state.

Your post also ignores the other positive changes they’re receiving AND the long list of positive changes they have received since release.

I like the change, hardly any counter play when multiple people injured

I think the nerf is a bit harsh but I like the three buffs

Be they good or bad, I’m just glad the Devs are still tinkering with the Twins. I’ll reserve my judgement till I get a feel for it.

Yes there is. Bunch up in pairs. On live you still have a 3 second window to kick Victor after he gets one down, that's plenty of time to crush him if you're paying attention. 5 seconds is way too forgiving of Survivors not being attentive and making positioning errors.

This Twins nerf is HORRIBLE. It targets the healthiest area of their kit (the chasing) and punishes them for doing well by making it easier for bad/inattentive Survivors to beat them, which is the worst thing any balance change can do.

The only people this will affect will be Twins players who a) are good b) are playing against Survivors who are worse than they are and keep making mistakes and c) are playing fairly by using Victor for chasing rather than camping. These aren't the kind of players we should be targeting nerfs at. If anything, the camping is what I thought Behaviour would be targeting with this PTB; make the Twins more interactive, not less.

He never was. Freddy was A Tier, at best. Maybe he still is A Tier, but the nerfs will hurt.

I maintain the best change they could have made to the Twins would Victor automatically returning to you if you hook a Survivor within 16m of him. That would be a nerf to camping Twins (since you can't place Victor under a hook and leave him there any more) and a buff to chasing Twins (since you could manually reset him after you get a down so he'd always be on hand to chase with). It would be the best change the Twins could possibly have... but no, just a random nerf to chase Twins as a punishment for playing too well.

I am the world's saddest man.

"5 seconds cooldown is applied only after downing a survivor which gives some more counterplay to mass slugging twins otherwise if you go for mixed hooks without ever slugging you're not gonna get hurt by it"

IE play in a very weak way that loses you the game and the change is not a problem lol

That heavy slugging play style is the only way the Twins are viable. If they want to nerf that they need to improve other play styles for them.

Um, they buffed their slugging without buffing their otherwise F-tier chase potential. It's fine to nerf the slugging if it's in conjunction with removing hostage Victor to make other gameplay styles viable. Because they aren't, this not only makes Twins an unfun killer to play for the majority of killer players, but also an unviable unfun killer. The other positives were slight add-on buffs and a quality of life change that's likely not impacting gameplay all that much.
