The Blight Event.
So is it like the BBQ event? If you die you lose a "little" of your nectar so that also brings up the question of if I don't do a special gen if it is special gens but I am alive when someone else does one do I get nectar or no?
I realize how poor my grammar is in this by the way. Watching the video will help you understand what I am asking.

I do not know anything about the event, and havent seen the video you linked, but if it is something that you have to fill up I would assume that would indeed mean you do it yourself.

In previous events if you are alive and a gen is completed you are awarded for it.

@KillJiggy True but this one seems to be a little different. Considering you can lose some of your stuff when you die and since you have to fill your own syringe with nectar it seems like you would have to do the gen yourself.0

Being a brand new player, I'm looking into how the event is supposed to play out. If it's too much of a PITA for new players, then I might just hop back into Overwatch for the season and get my skins over there.

Which game? I know Overwatch does. That event starts tomorrow (along with the Torb rework, many assume) and goes until Halloween. Plus, I have around 30k coins over there anyway, so could just buy any skins I want.
I really have no intention of going back to Overwatch at this point in my life (except maybe to pop in tomorrow and buy the Hockey-Mask killer skin if the rumors are true), but I want to see info on this Blight Event. If it's not new player friendly, or means a lot of people are going to be farming it and making learning the basics of trials more difficult (I only have 22 hours in the game so far), then I'll just step out from the 19th until it ends.

Dead by Daylight does. Don't worry about it. It wont affect your gameplay too much and you wont have any trouble getting all of the skins if you want them.

Yeah so its a personal thing, based on your own progression of the nectar. Thanks.

@KillJiggy Thanks for the info. Looking forward to it.
Then again, I realized I was likely talking out of my butt, too. Let's see: play Overwatch and subject myself to why I left in the first place, or stay with DBD and learn it, and also do some nighttime SWF with SteamDad_ in his nightly open lobby?
DBD wins.

I'm going back to Overwatch to grind for some Halloween skins. I have every single Halloween Terror item in the game and have always gotten them the year they came out and I'm not starting to miss out this year. Dbd should be a fun grind to do as well though.

@PhantomMask20763 I logged into Overwatch the other night just to test myself again. By match #5, I had to leave. And I even avoided Competitive.
Now, don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the game, itself. Not Brigitte, not any of it. I have an issue with how toxic I became in it over the course of two years. I'm usually a laid back, casual gamer. I'm too old to get toxic over a video game. But somehow, over time, Overwatch brought that out in me.
Why? I don't know. HoTS didn't. Paladins didn't. DBD doesn't.
I had to walk away from it. I forgot how to play a video game for fun.
I'm popping in tomorrow to see what skins are there. I have like 30k coins saved up. If any of the 3k ones really grab me, I'll get them. If I'm on the fence for them, I'll wait until they're 1k next year. I hear rumor that someone is getting a hockey mask ala Jason. If so, that is a definite purchase.

Yeah, it should be a fun Halloween Terror this year, and I'm in love with Hammonds Jack-O-Lantern skin

@PhantomMask20763 Really? Didn't know Hammond was getting one. My 8-year-old will be pleased. He likes DBD, but Overwatch is his main game. He has a ton of other kids on his friends list and they all play custom games together.

Then there's also a few other skins one called slasher that is presumed to be for soldier and one called bride that is presumed to be for Sombra. As a Sombra main I'm happy. I'm glad the dbd event will last for a while so I can grind in both games. Also the they're all legendary aside from the mcree and widow skin. There will also possibly be one more epic but we don't know yet.

@PhantomMask20763 Slasher, I think, was the hockey mask image on the achievement visual leak. If it is, and that is 76, it's mine. He's one of my main DPS guys.
I'm sure I will be back in Overwatch eventually, though I won't drop DBD unless the community becomes too small for decent lobby times. And Overwatch is a Blizzard game, so it'll never die. But for the time being, I need to fix my own head about that game and just get used to playing relaxed and for fun again.
In DBD, I can do that. I don't care if I die, or if all four escape. I just want some BP, and on to the next Trial. I just want to sometimes run around hitting people as Myers, Freddy, or Leatherface, or be a killer Clown.
That said, though, I can see this game getting repetitive faster than I would probably like. Though I hope I am wrong about that. At least in Overwatch there are all the arcade modes to shake it up a bit, and always custom games.
I've also discovered that I can't play DBD if tired. The mind games needed in a trial, alone, drain me after a while. Starting tired doesn't work out well, bloodpoints wise. I write for a living, so my days are mentally active to begin with. Sometimes, a bit brain-frying, too, depending on the book or the scenes. Then coming into DBD with the required mental gymnastics doesn't always work out. That's when Overwatch is most tempting. I've played that game since launch day. At this point, it's all muscle memory and reflex, even knowing which map route a particular enemy Hero is likely to take.
Anyway, back on topic, I'm definitely interested in the Huntress and Wraith Blight skins!

Yeah Overwatch has surprisingly helped me relax after getting bored of Dbd. I play Sombra when I want to play good but have fun and some reaper just to mess around. I've been loving Hammond though, his kit is just so much fun and I've always wanted to play as a hamster in a giant mech suit.

@PhantomMask20763 I don't want this thread locked because we somehow managed to derail it, so have taken the Overwatch talk to your Wall.

I'm new, so don't know a lot of the killers just yet, but of the originals that I've played and liked, I'm going to go for the Huntress, Wraith, and Doctor skins.
