Anyone else bummed out about the small game change??
Honestly I liked being able to detect traps, the totem counter and increase radius detection range are kind of bleh. I'm guessing they wanted to indirectly buff trapper but I doubt that's going to help him much.

Yeah see that's what is weird to me I don't see how anyone who ran small game would have an issue with noed to begin with.

There shouldn’t be a perk that is made for countering a killer’s specific power. I’m glad they removed the trap detection part of it.

Only thing I am bummed about is the totem counter being tied to a perk and not being basekit. Making it basekit would be an awesome buff to solo queue but now it only informs the survivor who brought it which is pretty meh. Detectives is still a much better totem finding tool.

I like the buff. There shouldn't be perks that specifically target one character. For example, you shouldn't be able to detect traps with small game, that's what it was basically designed back in the day, because the perk and killer pool were extremely small. Now they try to fix it, which is always welcomed

Change BBQ so that it dont affect people on their death hook, instead i though just people that been hooked but too easy just the ready death hooks.

I'd rather have it they had added a few killer-created obstacles to it, like the snares, portals etc.
it would have made it a fairly powerful perk, but it would have given it more purpose (like before)
Because, let's talk turkey:
The changed detection cone is pointless. If you played maps a few times you have a pretty good idea where a totem is.
You'd only run small game if you were doing totems to be more effective in running these spawnspots.
If they'd add in more killer-created obstacles Small Game could make for a good meta perk because it could be combined with e.g. BT to effectively rescue people from the hook etc

On the one hand I'm bummed I can't detect traps but I think it makes sense since it only mattered for hag and Trapper really. The pros outweigh the cons of the new version. I like the totem count idea for a perk.
Although I think small game needs a new picture since it has a trap as the logo lol

Not really, NOED is rather rare and equiping this perk only for the totem counter is absurd, Detective's Hunch also gives number of totems left plus chests and gens.
The only good thing Small Game had over Detective's is that it gave away traps, now is totally outclassed.

I personally like the counters. It adds interactivity and dynamics. I personally don't like it if things CANNOT be countered. Things like Plague with healing: you can't heal yourself or others who are sick. At the same time there is NO SINGLE WAY to counter the coughing from being sick. Iron Will and Calm Spirit both don't work. Windows Of Opportunity doesn't counter fake pallets, which I also don't like, and I would love to see.
