I'd love to play against AI
Thought I'd have a quick game get maybe a daily or two out of the way. have one for slinger.
Get into cornfield, head to gen I suspect survivors spawned on and am correct find em all, two start clicking their flashlights at me and butt dancing in my face.
I leave. Get a mountain of abuse in the post game chat.
Now it doesn't upset me or hurt my sensibilities and I realise that this (in game) behaviour may not have been inherently toxic but it is immersion breaking, can mean tedious people to play against and frankly at this point is tiresome.
I know I can catch these people but I just don't want to play with them this way.
The vitriolic post game chat tells me I made the right choice, as these are not people I want to game with.
I really really enjoy this game, I often really despise its players.
That's me done for the evening find another killer to play with and enjoy the 20min survivor queues.

Some of my teammates are 100% AI already

Ignore end game chat - it serves no purpose. Why do you give a flying crap what strangers think of you? No seriously... just turn it off - makes playing way more fun.

AI works in the mobile version though. Didn’t play it myself but I heard it actually works pretty well. (And I am pretty sure they are eventually introducing AI for custom matches in the future.)

I’d be worried the AI would work terribly and I’d rather BHVR focus on my important changes

The endgame chat never gets to me, rather here it confirms my decision to quit that game was the correct one.
I'm tired of being forced to play this game against random douches online.
When the rest of my mates aren't playing but I feel like a game of DBD it would be nice to have an offline play option so I could get my fun in without having to roll the douchebag dice.
Its why I enjoy battlefront.

Absolutely, it doesn't replace a human oponent but its good enough. Its totally doable and anyone who nay says that really has a narrow view of what's possible.

Took me a moment to notice that it was AI and not Al, I was gonna ask "Whose Al?"

I thought he was talking about A1, the steak sauce . . .

When survivors aren't afraid of killers, tunnel them. The lack of fear is usually because they're good enough to get away from nice killers. Don't be a nice killer, give them a reason to run.

We have AI already just play solo Q and you will see AI teammates. I promise you will be upset at them like they were Ai.

Yeah my nemissis idea would require simple ai so I woul like that

I would like an AI killer.
Smart, methodical, not purposely trying to make our game miserable. What's not to like?

You don't know Al? everybody knows Al. :)

Yeah, I mean as I've said it will never replace a human opponent, but the mobile AI is not bad and I for one would like a game against some immersive AI that flee from you when chased as survivor and hunt you down when killer without resorting to just staring at the hooked person for 2 mins.
I'd say every 1-3 in 10 games are really fun in DBD, the rest often feel like I wasted my time online or at worst a just frustrating or highly toxic. Thats a really low level of customer satisfaction with a product. (At least for me personally). Typically it results in my having 1-2 games and then quitting to play or do something else.
It also limits my motivation to really invest anything in this game, I don't buy a lot of cosmetics or even really devote a lot of time to completing rifts anymore because I really don't care enough given the low level of game satisfaction.
I'd probably sink a whole evening into DBD again if I could hit up a few online games interdispersed with some muck around matches against AI. I'd probably get more into it and blow more money on cosmetics too. As it stands right now I don't feel motivated to do those things because often I log on and then don't really have a lot of fun, so log off.
Also when tilted I would never feel the need to take out a bad game on my next games worth of players because frankly that's a crappy thing to do and just perpetuates the cycle of toxicity, but even I have succumbed to that toxic state of mind once or twice. I could beat up some AI's for fun and then go back and try to play a more balanced competitive game against real people in a better state of mind.
