The issue with Wraith

I love that he keeps getting massive speed buffs lately.

The problem I have with him and that I noticed when I face him, he always wins by a long shot. I've jotted down several matches I've had against him for a few months, and the issue that gets the team killed regardless of skill, is his speed buff coming out of invisibility. He can mind game most pallets and window vaults. He's probably one of the better M1 killers in the game.

Idk what else to really say, I just don't like him and I hardly escape against him anymore.

The problem with the Wraith for solo survivors is that I have seen a growing number of them simply cloak right next to the hook after hooking and down anyone who tries the rescue. So he gets a two for one while camping. I dont think there has ever been a game I or any others except for maybe SWF that have beaten him. It just gets old playing with him sitting there doing nothing getting the 4K for such little effort.

Right, even if he isn't campy or proxy camping the hook, he still has the speed to come straight back to it while cloaked. He's a stale killer to go against.

The BT change on the PTB should fix this issue as long as people run BT.

I got to credit the players using him, strategizing timing and tile placements. In the hands of meh players wraith still suffers from the bell alerting everyone and starting chase at a disadvantage, and that's without survivor perks aiding an early takeoff.

The issue with Wraith is that he slows down to a snail's pace while uncloaking. We're back to stone age DBD where Wraith has to stand still while uncloaking, and then survivors will say he's OP anyway.

You know you can just carry on running if you see him trying to go for windstorm lunges like Pig ambushes right? It's also not useful unless you're at a really small loop, doesn't really work otherwise because you should be safe next to a pallet or window.

Also all Wraiths I've seen will do the exact same thing: uncloak while moving one way, then immediately double back the other way. I've never seen a Wraith commit to going straight forward, so just keep running forward and 9 times out of 10 you'll probably win the 50/50. Everyone always doubles back at the same time Wraith does because people are still clueless about this lunge for some reason.

Wraith is in a good place, people can still win against him but will be difficult.

His out of cloak burst of speed isn't an issue since the nerf to his movement speed while uncloaking and most survivor can react if they see him.

He doing great right now since he not add-on dependent anymore

I’m pretty much a Wraith main. He’s the only one for me fast enough to put map pressure on everybody with how fast gens go. Even then it’s a struggle. I think the speed boost was very necessary and a big weakness is his uncloaking speed. Survivors can easily gain some distance on the Wraith by the time he is completely uncloaked. If you’re not paying attention to your surroundings and still manage to get hit by him after he uncloaks that’s on you. Plus even while cloaked the dude is loud asf with his growls and can be spotted easily with his little shimmer while cloaked.
