New Killer: The Revenant

Killer Data

Appearance: A thin man with skin tightly hugging his bones, with a light amount of armor covering him. His weapon would be a Spartan xiphos, or a short sword.

Speed: 115% (4.6 m/s)

Terror Radius: 32 meters

Height: Tall

Power: Shield Bash

Holding m2 will initiate a shield bash, where for 1 second the Revenant will be slowed to 85% speed the charge acting similar to Hillbilly's chainsaw, and at the end of the 1 second he runs forwards at 170% speed. His turning is decreased a little, but not as much as Blight, for example. Hitting a Survivor with the shield will knock them onto the ground, initiating an automatic .6 second animation where they pick themselves up.

For 10 seconds after being hit by the shield, Survivors are hindered by 10%. It takes 1 second to attack or do any other action out of a shield bash, during which time the Revenant moves at 95% speed, and running into a wall during a shield bash will stun the Revenant for 2 seconds.

Secondary Power: Vengeful Smite

Holding CTRL will charge Vengeful Smite over the course of 3 seconds, during which the Revenant is slowed to 80% speed. When fully charged, releasing CTRL will make all Survivors hear a hissing sound for 10 seconds, masking all other noise until it ends. Injured and Downed Survivors in the Revenant's terror radius after these 10 seconds will be inflicted with the "Spite" status effect explained below, after the explanation of the rest of the power.

The Spite status effect can be removed by going to one of 8 tombstones spawned randomly around the map and going through a 15 second channel with 5 skill checks reminiscent of skill checks while under the effects of Unnerving Presence. Messing up a skill check will alert the Revenant of your location, and a hand will come out of the ground in front of the tombstone. Missing a skill check at a tombstone with a hand coming out of it will injure the Survivor who missed it, but it cannot down a Survivor. Missing a skill check, regardless of if there is a hand or not, will reset the progress. Vengeful Smite has a cooldown of 40 seconds.

Spite: This status effect makes it so that any Survivor inflicted with it will hear a constant hissing sound that masks all sounds from more than 12 meters away. When Spited, Survivors have a 60 second timer that pauses when downed or in a chase. When the timer reaches 0, that Survivor will be inflicted with 1 health state of damage. Being hooked removes the Spite status effect. While inflicted with Spite, Survivors cannot be healed from injured to healthy.

Add-ons
  • Slightly decreases the charge time of Shield Bash.
  • Slightly/moderately decreases the charge time of Vengeful Smite.
  • Survivors inflicted with Spite have repair, healing, sabotaging and cleansing speeds slightly/moderately reduced.
  • Slightly/moderately increases the speed of Shield Bash, but slightly increases the time it takes to act out of it.
  • Slightly/moderately/considerably increases the time a Survivor is hindered after being hit by Shield Bash.
  • Slightly increases the recovery time after a Shield Bash.
  • Slightly/moderately/considerably increases the turning radius while using Shield Bash.
  • After using Vengeful Smite, Survivors in your terror radius, instead of being inflicted with Spite, scream, revealing their location for 4 seconds.
  • Slightly/moderately decreases the cooldown of Vengeful Smite.
Iridescent Add-ons
  • Iridescent Shield - Considerably increases the speed of Shield Bash, but moderately decreases the turning radius. Hitting a Survivor with a Shield Bash will inflict 1 health state of damage to them instead of hindering them. This does not stack.
  • Spiteful Soul - When Vengeful Smite is activated, the auras of all Survivors who were inflicted with Spite before the activation have their auras revealed for 5 seconds.

Perks

Eyes of the Vengeful

All your eyes see are red, and all others must see the same.

Hex: Reawakening

After death, life will follow.

When a Survivor is hooked, this perk activates on a random Dull Totem if there is one available. If there isn't, 1 random destroyed Totem will rebuild itself as a Dull Totem. For 6/8/10 seconds, all uninjured Survivors have their auras revealed when this perk activates. After this time ends, this perk deactivates, and is replaced by 1 other random Hex perk that is not active becomes active on the same Totem this perk was active on if possible. Hex: Reawakening can only activate once per match.

Undying Pursuer

You've been given life once more, and you'll use it to kill all who've wronged you.

You become Obsessed with 1 Survivor. When a Survivor, except the Obsession, is hit by a basic attack, they become the Obsession this would happen after STBFL activates because its annoying otherwise. If a Survivor takes a protection hit for the Obsession, or unhooks the Obsession, they become Exhausted for 12/16/20 seconds.

Lore

The Revenant, once a man named Alec Elias, lived what many would consider quite a good life for such a rough place as Sparta. As the son of a war hero in the first Peloponnesian War, Alec had quite the man to live up to in his mind, and he fought and killed day and night to do so.

As a kid, Alec regularly hunted wild animals, and even fought hand to paw against wolfs and bears (yes they live in and around Greece), using a short sword tipped with snake venom. He was no honorable fighter, in a society where honor was the last thing on one's mind. The type of kid, and the type of man Alec grew up to be was one greatly benefiting from the philosophies of Sparta greatly.

When the second Peloponnesian war started while Alec was 20, he was just starting his ten years of active duty. This was the perfect chance to show off his skill to best the image he had built up of his father.

And, well, he did. He was ruthless in that war. Any time where hand to hand combat came in, he was on the front lines, either in a defensive overpowering group position, or fitting his weapon of choice, the xiphos, between any opening in the Athenian's defenses.

Needless to say, he came back just as successful as his father. He didn't get rewarded personally for his effort though, revealing the spiteful and grudge fueled side of him long dormant throughout his generally good life. He kept that hidden though around his newly wedded wife, as well as his family.

His wife was actually someone that kept him quite calm, a tranquilizing presence that soothed his admittedly restless spirit. That was how it was, and how it stayed even when she was pregnant.

But it did end when she died of complications with childbirth. As was tradition, she was given the funeral of the warrior she was, and Alec was left alone with his daughter. The killer of his wife, who ended up growing into a spitting image of her.

She may have looked like her mother, but his daughter had far from the same way of soothing him. The grudge he felt from just about everything, his lack of recognition for his efforts in the military, the limited acknowledgement from his father, and the death of his wife started slowly boiling over as this weak imitation of his wife grew.

When his daughter married the son of another successful soldier, one that was acknowledged by his friends and family for his efforts, that was the last straw for such an angry and grudge fueled man as Alec. He killed his son-in-law in front of his daughter, before turning the same xiphos he used in the war on his daughter.

But when he went to stab her, she quickly stepped back and grabbed a metal pot holding flowers, before hitting him over the head with it. He may have been strong, but a few swings from a heavy metal object into your head isn't something many can just shrug off. His daughter ran off after her one last act of betrayal, and he cursed his own family's name, promising he would kill her as the fog thickened around him.

Lore

Aurora Elias was less than welcomed by her father after her birth, and she always suspected it was because of how her mom died while giving birth. She felt guilty for it, but she always knew it wasn't something she could change and she still tried her best to help her dad.

He often didn't accept her help, saying she wasn't good enough for the name of 3 war heroes. Her dad, grandfather and her mom were all promised a warrior's burial, something she'd only be granted if she died in the same way her mom did, and it seemed like her dad could never let that down.

She tried everything. Cooking, cleaning, even repairing anything broken around the house, everything was something considered to gain the favor of her father. Nothing was enough for him to even say "Thank you", though.

She eventually just gave up, and went on living as she was told. She was chosen to be married to someone she really liked. Arranged marriages were rare, but both people being married did have a say in if they were, so it was nothing like someone would expect. After the marriage, she was quite happy with her new husband, despite not seeing him much since he was always training.

This was until her father arrived at the door of their house, and murdered her husband in front of her. In a panic, she stumbled back and grabbed a heavy metal pot, before hitting him over and over again with it.

Afterwards, she ran out of the house and to her grandparents, telling them what happened. She was so shaken and couldn't stop blaming herself for all that had happened to her dad.

To calm down, she often went on walks on the outskirts of the city, and on one of these walks she never came back home.

I'm really unhappy with the lore for these two, so I'm just gonna rewrite it.
