Former DBD PS4 Player switching to steam, please help!

For those that know me and for that dont, i'm in need of assistance. This isn't going to be some silly rant about nerfs needed and stuff; i'm genuinely asking for help.

Recently, I stopped playing DBD for about 2 months, so i've grown rusty and my PS4 is acting up and overheating too much to the point I can't play DBD on it anymore. So all my hardworking with meg, Jake, Claudette and Dwight is gone; along with all my blood points, achievements and shards.

So, i've decided to buy the steam version which I find to be...arguably more toxic for certain reasons and reasons everyone knows. I just bought the game and i'm currently downloading it as I type this. I need to know a few things.

What I need to know is buffs and needs to killers, survivors, perks, map changes and any bug fixes that might've gone on in my 2 month Absence. Please give me legit answers so I know what i'm doing when I get on PC.

Another set of questions I have is how should I play and rehabilitate myself into DBD; Should I play with a PS4, XBOX, SWITCH or PC controllwr and who should I main until I get back into the swing of things. Please and thank you.

(For those who want to SFW with me and help me get back into things while not being literally landslides by all the changes, Thanks; but i'll do this alone for a bit and i'll come back and ask for the help. I'm used to solo queue then SFW 😅)

How is the PC version more toxic? Hide the chat and set your profile to Friends Only. Fixed.

I've heard horror stories from console (xbox) players where they get reported and ban from other games. You won't have that issue on Steam.

Keyboard and mouse for killer. If you find controller easier for survivor go ahead and use it.

Bug fixes? How long have you played DBD?

PC version isn't more toxic, but it can be toxic. Consoles from what I know, allow you to send messages to people even after the game has ended. PC version just lets people talk at the end-game match chat, but you can always turn that off if you don't care to see what people type.

Keyboard and mouse for both killer & survivor. You're on PC. Drop that controller right now. You don't need it and if anything, it hindered you more.

There's been bug fixes and some buffs/reworks thrown out to some killers, perks etc. Check the patch notes/PTB highlights.

2 - 3 years, every so often I lileave and come back to perk/killer nerfs, buffs, and irrelevant bug fixes.

Like the ruin nerf which obviously changed meta a little more (When ruin changed from actively working on gens will make it regress to leaving a gen will make it regress.)

I also heard about the new killer coming up, anything with him?

The only that sucks about keyboard, is accidently pressing other keys that cause the game to pause. Such as me pressing the picture key to clips things. It happens more with survivor, than with killer. But it usually happens when I'm in a chase, so it has gotten me to lose a couple of matches. But other than that welcome to the PC family.
