Emma Berrett was a young woman born into a poor family. At the age of 6, her family sold her into a slave ring where she worked hours on end for 8 years. She was tortured, beaten, and eventually mutilated when she could no longer work efficiently. After being thrown out to the streets, she crawled her way into a nearby forest. In the middle of the woods she crawled slowly, drenched in blood and mud. Cold. Sick. She was about to give up and let herself die until she saw something glowing in the distance. A scarlet light called to her. Using the remainder of her strength, she grasped at it. Her pain was lifted immediately and she felt power surge through her. She stood up, her legs still mutilated but no longer hurting. She limped back to the storehouse after the glyph had told her to. After so long of enduring torture and pain, she finally felt something incredible arise in her. A surge of power. A rising anger. Revenge was all she could think about. She killed every last one. Nothing could hurt her. She was unstoppable. As she returned home, lurking in the shadows and alleys of the streets, she found her parents bodies rotting away in their bed. They sold their daughter away for money, but died together anyway. That was when The Entity noticed her, and took her away...
First Ability: Phantom
Upon pressing the active ability button, The Witch moderately reduces her movement speed for 1 second, going completely invisible for the duration. Upon reappearing, The Witch's movement speed is returned and a Phantom is spawned (identical copy of herself). The spawned Phantom will move in the direction she was looking for 10 seconds. Upon spotting a survivor, the Phantom's duration is extended by 10 seconds and it chases after the survivor. This ability has a cooldown of 30 seconds, reduced by 10 seconds every time The Witch hits a survivor. Whenever The Witch hits a survivor, any spawned phantoms will have their duration extended by 10 seconds.
Phantoms spawned gain the following attributes:
- Collision
- Terror radius of 32 meters
- Same speed as The Witch (affected by haste effects)
- Red stain
- Cannot attack
Second Ability: Enrage
Upon pressing the secondary attack button, The Witch moderately reduces her movement speed as she charges her attack. Upon pressing the basic attack button after charging for 0.5 seconds, any Phantoms The Witch has spawned gain additional attributes:
- No collision
- Terror radius of 0 meters
- 4.6 m/s
- Will attack any survivors in sight
Enrage gains tokens based on the number of phantoms spawned by The Witch. At 5 tokens, Enrage can be used at any time. The Witch loses all tokens once Enrage has been used. Tokens cannot be gained from Phantoms spawned during Enrage.
Survivors hit by a Phantom extends all phantom's duration by 5 seconds per hit. Phantoms suffer from missed attack penalties and hit attack penalties. If a Phantom is stunned or blinded by any means, the Phantom is destroyed. There can be a maximum of 3 Phantoms allowed at one time in a trial. If another Phantom is spawned, the first Phantom spawned will be destroyed. The Witch can see the auras of every Phantom spawned in white. Auras will turn yellow when they begin chasing a survivor. When a survivor is put into the dying state by a Phantom, the Phantom will stand by the survivor until the Phantom's spawn duration is gone. During this time, killer instinct is active on the dying survivor. Any perks that give survivors the Exposed status effect or have basic attack effects does not apply to Phantom attacks.

He went to school and had decent grades, so his mom didn’t mind him being down there all the time. He was very skinny and surprisingly healthy despite his lazy lifestyle. He fell asleep at his desk one night while playing a game and had a strange dream of a deformed looking woman... When he awoke, he was no longer home...

Killer Perks:
Mutilation: She mutilated them as they mutilated her. Wounds inflicted by basic attacks cause survivors to suffer from the hindered status effect. This effect lasts until they are healed. Hindered reduces the survivor’s movement speed by 3/4/5%.
Bloodborn: Her lust for blood devours her soul, carving into her flesh and turning her into a monster. Survivors that are in the injured or dying state suffer from the oblivious status effect when inside your terror radius. Survivors inside your terror radius will not hear the terror radius, but can see your aura when outside of it. Blood trails stay visible for an extra 1/2/3 second(s).
Deceive: Survivors who attempt to reveal your aura to themselves will instead reveal their aura to you. [Object of Obsession does not reveal the killer but the killer can still see the survivor, but Kindred does not reveal survivors to you, only masks your aura and so on] This perk has a cooldown of 60/50/40 seconds and lasts 3/4/5 seconds.
Survivor Perks:
Basement Dweller: Living in your mother's basement for 16 years makes you feel comfortable underground. After opening a chest, gain a token. Any time you enter the basement, consume a token. For the next 30/45/60 seconds, your breathing, groans of pain, scratch marks, footsteps, and blood trails are masked. Rescuing a survivor off of a hook in the basement does not notify the killer, but still shows this on the icons on the left. Exiting the basement deactivates the perk. This perk has a 60 second cooldown.
Paranoia: Creepy sounds above you at night made you lose sleep, even after spending 16 years hearing them. After being downed by the killer when within 32 meters of the basement, block the basement hooks for 60/90/120 seconds. This perk deactivates for the remainder of the trial once used. This perk pauses when not in the dying state.
Insight: When the killer gains the undetectable status effect, their aura is revealed to you when within a 24/32/48 meter range. The killer may also see your aura.
