Has anyone ever done this?
So I've been playing dead by daylight since console release in 2017. You know before swivel hooks, devotion, tomes, and skins. When double pallets existed, insta parts and insta moris, vacuum pallets and so much more. And I've adapted pretty well.... Except for my wallet. Today I did the math.
For skins, base game and maybe 5 DLCs I've spent a total of $306.93.
A total of 26,360 Auric cells
I didn't even count the iri shards.
Honestly expected it to be a lot more based off my hours. Anyone else every done the math?

Got the game for free on PS+
Have bought 2 rift passes and maybe 4 outfits from the store, so maybe £40 total? I don't know.

I didn't even count the DLC's I bought, most of which were discounted, but I imagine I'd have to double my previous £40 estimate to be safe, but it might be less.

I got the game like 4 years ago on sale. When we could buy characters with shards i usually had enough for a chapter release. I bought like 3 cosmetics in total and i never spent money on the rift pass.
Personally i feel ive spent more money on total war: warhammer 1-2.

Hey, everyone's got that one game. Heck even the sims has gotten a chunk of my money.... But their DLCs are as much as base game 😭

The cool thing about warhammer 1 and 2 is the dlc carries over to the next game. If you buy warhammer 2 you get all those factions and the campaign mode. Which is one half of the world map. Then theres mortal empires mode which uses the entire world map and all the factions from the first game. The 3rd game comes out sometime this year and any factions I have now i can use when it gets here.
Its how they hook you. They give you a coupon for the game to give to a friend. They buy it and see all the other factions sold separately and if you want to use them all you need to buy the previous game. Its justified because the base content alone is enough to occupy you for a few hundred hours.

But yea, its mostly a sandbox farming game.
You have to splice and mix things to create new blocks etc so you can build your dream worlds. There are things that can help you farm, build and craft easier but for that you have to get it first.
You can do tons of things in the game. From farming to fighting, trading, exploring ,parkouring etc.
I would still play if i didnt got hacked 1 1/2 years ago. ;/ Thinking about starting again tho.
But if you ever start it, dont trust anyone. ;/

Thats a lot, I have the game from 2016 on pc, i have all dlc and bought auric cells multiple times, some characters and killers bought with shards.. so doing the math i probably spend around 55 USD. This is because prices are different from regions i suppose, 55 USD its 5000 ARS here (argentine pesos).

I feel better about myself. I think I only spent about 40 bucks on this game when I first got it. I only paid for the base combo with stranger things, Freddy and Ghostface.
The only way I will spend any more money is if they wow me with the Resident Evil chapter and the 5th anniversary event. They promised they were going to go all out with the anniversary and Halloween events from now on and adding a new character isn't going all out.
*I will buy Claire Redfield tho, I don't care how much it costs.
