Abusing breakdown should be bannable.

just disable the perk til it's fixed, or make it a feature if you don't wanna fix it.

But the perk can be disabled for the time being, and it's ridiculous that it hasn't happened yet. Just as it was with the legion add-ons and the redhead's pinky finger when that was bugged, too, as well as Wake Up!

In situations like this, disabling a Perk will pretty much snuff out any exploitation.
Is this not a thing? If not, why isn't it?

'jflicking takes skill' :') nice meme.

This makes no sense as they have acknowledged that the breakdown issue is a known bug on these very forums. They have also stated they are working on a fix for it.
Now of course J flick will also be fixed as it is something that is not intended feature and turning like that should not be possible.

They did that regardless of the bug. Besides, it is inconsistent and you can't guarantee not getting stunned every single time.
The breakdown bug is consistent and happens every time you use it.

That's a lie just because you don't use a perk doesn't mean everyone else doesn't use it

I don't understand why people try to compare one bug to another and then say "you banned for that why don't you ban for this".
Each bug has it's own very unique set of circumstances to occur that end up altering gameplay.
As others have said, why don't they have a system in place for disabling a perk or add on after almost five years?
Who knows.

Imagine unironically quoting spacecocnut.... yikes
Also threads like these indicate that you care way too much which is unhealthy

I'm just doing slug nurse until it's fixed. I hope all survivors like sitting on the ground until they bleed out. If the devs condone swf abusing exploits then I'll just play like a bootyhole.

Welcome to 2016 DbD slap on Agitation and Iron Grasp and get on with it.

Soo0 are we just going leave it in then?
No, we aren't because the devs do realise it's a ridiculous unfair advantage... but no ban for an exploit..
Great

My answer was to whether or not this bug was going to result in a ban - nothing to do with saying the bug is being left in. It's already an acknowledged bug on this very forum.

Do you know if it will be fixed when the MidChapter patch drops?

your answer paints it as not a problem though considering someone will bleed out eventually anyway, same reason why slugging itself is not seen as a problem even though plenty of players dont like the experience.
as such you pretty much paint it as something that is seen as a non-issue and like slugging isnt bannable, this is not bannable either, sooo why even fix it then?
well...because the devs do recognise its not fair....yet they dont punish squads that go out of their way to abuse this new system/bug?
I know stuff as changed but it does not jive really with the claim that players were banned for abusing the Legion exploit because sure, the game took very long but the killer is sitll trying to kill the players and the players can just choose to not mend, go down, and bleed out, it is likewise just as much not holding the game hostage.

My point was about the Legion issue being 2 years ago and therefore not comparable - who knows if now the issue would have been bannable or not, impossible to say.
We are not banning for the bug with Breakdown, it's an acknowledged bug that will be fixed. It will be fixed because that's not what the perk is designed to do, nothing to do with slugging etc. And I'm definitely not painting it as a non-issue, I am very well aware of how serious our players take this particular issue.
As other people in this thread have mentioned, we also didn't ban for the bug with Tinkerer or Sloppy Butcher a while back either.

Yet didnt nurses get banned with no warning with the spasmodic breathe exploit? There was a warning it was bannable in the "known exploits" on the forum but obviously not everyone plays on the forum. Imagine a nurse using the addon for the first time unbeknownst of the glitch and they get banned with no warning? Doesn't seem very fair. The rules of exploits is weird all im sayin.
Specific exploits that we will ban for until they are resolved:
- Bloodweb Progress/Prestige Exploit
- 2+ Killer Exploits
- Spasmodic Breath Nurse speed exploit

Im just not playing killer till its fixed, no big deal

Was there ever an explanation for why the perk wasn’t just disabled until the bug is fixed? Seems like the most reasonable thing to do and it’s very frustrating that no explanation is given for why this common sense temporary solution hasn’t been put in place. Maybe an explanation was already given and I just missed it

Why does a few hooks being destroyed matter? You can just counter that by using Iron grasp or Agitation

I never saw someone use breakdown in that way. Also, the guy is right about the killer victim complex. We have a bug that makes using pallets worthless. There both important issues that need to be fixed. I would say though, you should beable to permanently destroy *A HOOK* with a ultra rare toolbox add-on.

Yikes, I forgot things can go from bad to worse. 😂

Very good point my dude. Still waiting for a response of the mods about this. I might die in the try, but will worth it.

Most likely it would require a client update similar to the lock on killers preventing you from switching while searching for a match. That seems to be not feasible considering how close we are to the next update.

I had a full swf of no mither + breakdown clowns who sent me to the "new" asylum and I had to just slug them until they died, it was extremely boring and I'm not even slightly surprised that the devs have left it in the game as long as they have. I had 1 hook left on that entire map other than the basement, every inch of that map was a total safe zone and half the time losing just one hook made an entire spot safe. The 8 hooks per map thing is bullshit and this bug just proves that.
