The Satisfaction survey's photograph questions are so odd

They literally make no sense... I mean, how does a singular screenshot of a goddamn mori reflect the essence of the game. If it's a screenshot of a chase or a survivor working yes, but some splash art doesn't do that. Also, I'm really curious: why Plague, Twins and Blight? Except for Blight, I barely see the other two in my matches so I'd love to see them getting buffed (not Twins, they need a rework). But what I mean is, what do these questions even mean to DbD? I know we all probably replied that it doesn't look like gameplay for the reasons stated above so what are they going with that information????

EDIT: Forgot to add the K-Pop question was ridiculous. I love K-Pop but Trickster looks like if they added an Animal Crossing character as playable in MK11.

Those image questions were directly followed by a question about what you think promotional images should contain in regards to the promoted video game.. I guess those were connected?

Still odd tho. When I see promotional art, I'd love to see gameplay mechanics and a showcase of the game's graphics and stuff... Why would I care about 1 of the 50 playable character's in-game model when deciding to buy a game?

Exactly this though. I've done quite a few survey's in my time, and it's exactly what you said.

My guess is the discussion about Trickster's appearance and design was way more prevalent than it seemed? So maybe they wanna make sure they do the right things design/appearance-wise with the game to appeal to their actual audience?

It seems strange that all those questions appeared right after the Trickster stuff.... Like...I love the fact that DBD has different designs, some more gruesome, some more gory, some more grotesque, some more monster-like...and some more edgy like Legion and Trickster... I dunno. design wise I just love the game.

Good to see there's someone else who thought those picture questions were all very weird.

@pseudechis is 100% correct about the purpose of the questions -- and I think the questions made sense as far as market research goes. However, I also found it kind of hilarious to evaluate whether a bad screencap of Plague puking on something "represents the DBD experience." Because I pretty much had to say "yes," but...

I think everyone answered "strongly agree" to that one.

It's probably the only honest answer you could really give.

I think the problem with Trickster is not how is designed because a lot of people (myself included) liked the way they designed him, no body horror, no mutations, no weeks old dirt etc BUT dislike (myself included) the theme, Kpop is very hit or miss either you love it or you think they are clowns. If Trickster was designed with the same concept and gameplay but instead of a Kpop star were he to be a deranged bussinesman (somewhat clean suit, good shoes, nice hairdo and treacherous smile) there wouldnt be such a fuss.

The body horror questions I think its because they are starting to notice they have been a bit overboard with it, outside of licensed characters we have way WAY too many deformed/wounded Killers and maybe they want to know if there is a market place for cleaner more humanlike Killers.
