I retract myself
So when is breakdown abuse going to be banable? I thought people were exaggerating until I played against 3 swf with the same build and less hooks offering.
So it is ok to abuse that bug? Good to know

I understand them saying that some people dont actually know breakdown is bugged and they were just using it, possibly for a meme build, possibly that they preferred the perk prior.
My problem is the ones who you can tell intentionally abuse it. Increased hook range, No Mither and Soul Guard with it so you cant slug them and if you do and try to wait by them they've just got SG to take a hit. That, when they're blatantly abusing it and are aware of the bug should be a bannable offence.

Yup. Knock yourself out. At least that's the message the devs seem to be sending lol.

"Best" part is: currently not reportable and its not on the patch notes. So this "bug" might stay for a couple of months.

Out of the loop, what's the problem with Breadown?

Perma breaks hooks after someone is taken off it.
4 -
Oh... that gives me 2016 flashbacks.

Well, usually i am against bannings in this cases, because i only know about it through the forum, and lots of people dont.
However, i would make a screenshot and report them, and let the devs decide how to handle it. Most likly, nothing will happen though, since before the bug there were swf doing exactly what that group is doing now.

That is the exact build I played against, 3 no mithers, 3 soul guards, 3 unbreakables and 3 breakdowns with the less hook offerings.
And it was really obvious that they knew what they were doing since all they did was stay in that one side where they destroyed the hooks.
The last survivor didn't knew what was happening.

Wouldn't it be great if when something like a perk or character was busted in this way it could just be disabled until fixed? Sadly technology just hasn't reached this level

It was explicitly stated by a mod that this should not be reported as it is definitely not bannable.
yeah this should be the way to go.

I wasn't aware of the bug... I was wondering why suddenly my teammates had Breakdown that often. Sadge, I hope it's been fixed soon.

Ok, then i should go exploiting it a little myself. Thanks for the info.

Would it be 2019 flashbacks since iirc the sabo changes happened with Slinger's release in 2020?

Survivor abuse bugs never get patched quickly and are not bannable, look at the wake up bug that made all actions 12% faster
Meanwhile killer bugs that make them better are bannable
2 -
Just un sabo the hooks smh.
1 -
i think it was 15% faster

Just buy the Silent Hill chapter and only play Pyramid Head, lol
/s (because Poe's Law)

Just dont play the game 4head

Hooks came back in 2019, just took longer than it does now. 2016 if you sabotaged a hook it'd be gone for the match.

2016 was the height of Sabo Squads running around using Toolboxes and Saboteur to take down all the hooks in record time. Both got nerfed sometime that year, and although it was still possible, most people opted to focus on generators instead as sabotaging wasn't as worth it.
But yeah, Patch 3.6.0 gutted Sabotage changes altogether.

Again, with Breakdown specifically, 2019.

See my above comment. I was referring to Breakdown specifically.

Slug them all and let them bleed out on the floor and punish them for trying to abuse it. Give them your own 4 min dc penalty lmao.

Difference between both of those, infinite mending was banable, this isn't because reasons, not even a warning.
Their build was no mither, unbreakable, soul guard, and breakdown,
they kept going to the corner where there were no hooks at all because of the less hook offerings and breakdown.
I have PH p3 all perks, I was just doing Myers since I wanted to do the 300 tiers up achievement, but yeah might as well just use PH 24/7

Had the page open with reply pending before your subsequent post, but I see your point.

Only if you had Tombstone

Come on you should know bhvr by now.
As long as it is killer related and it puts the killer in a disadvantage, they won't bother to much about it.
They will probably look at it by accident or when bugs that puts survivors in a disadvantage are all solved.
So yeah, it will be probably be in the game for a long time and allowed to be abused for a long time

Its only okay if survivors abuse bugs. If killer does it they get banned. Like the bug with running 2 legion add ons that increased mending time.

Breakdown was never permanent, the original perk description was just missing how long it lasted (which has happened many times with perk descriptions missing info) . Look back at 2018 comments of when Jeff was coming out, people didn't know length because it wasn't written in original description but others were confirming it lasts for 3 minutes. I read through Chains of Hate patch notes, did not see 1 mention of Breakdown in there.
*edit to add* If you do go back and look at the comments from when Jeff was coming out it's funny to see the concern people had with Breakdown being 3 minutes with sabo squad is same they have with it being permanent with sabo squad. Saw some say it should be nerfed to less than a minute because at 3 minutes perk too OP and will be meta.

Oh damn didn't realise they had no mither, now that's toxic. Bet all you could do was play whack a mole then lol, I hope the devs sort the bug out soon.
0 -
Yeah lol it was a down, survivors get up and walk to that corner, rinse and repeat.

If only I was trying the evil incarnate again, I wish I had it, but no, my past self decided to use double fast stalk addons to finish that achievement faster.

It is looking just like that, normally I would be like "but this and that" right now I am 100% on your side, seeing that devs do not care if 1 side abuse bugs but if the other does then they get banned.
Exactly this, mending bug bad , wake up bug was fine though, no one abused it not at all.
