A simple way to improve sportsmanship in DBD
I love spitballing ideas and trying to come up with solutions or alternatives to problems in this game. They’ve been arguing for so long about how to counteract ######### players like teabagging or face camping, and I had an easy way to reward good players and incentivize sportsmanship.
At the end of the match, in much the same way that you can report or give a thumbs up, you can gift the player 1k BP. It doesn’t come out of your winnings, it’s just there as a way of saying ‘GG thanks for being cool’. Every player can get up to a 4K bonus for sportsmanship.
Obviously it’ll be exploited by SWF who will always give each other BP, but they’ll still consistently lose out on 1 or 2K if they choose to be #########.
For the majority of players, I think it would be a good incentive to play friendlier. It’s just a bonus so if you don’t get much it’s still more than you would have otherwise gotten and could even have rift challenges tied to it.
I think it would mostly have a net positive outcome for quality of life for the game and help out new players.

Some additional suggestions could be clicking on the thumbs up would simply gift the person a random offering/add-on or item. Perhaps random with a small chance to get something amazing like a purple or pink add-on.

To be honest I just wish the damn prop system worked. It would be nice to let other players know that I appreciated their game. That said, these ideas are cool too.

I feel like there should be a second pre-game chat that allows survivors to speak with the killer and vice-versa.
You wouldn't get many toxic messages to the killer, since they could easily just lobby dodge. You could coordinate between the two teams, so you could have literally any idea of what you're getting into.
Survivors would still be able to talk to each other without involving the killer if they wanted to, but just having a chance to communicate pre-game could solve a lot of problems.
Plus your idea, but increase the BP to 3k.
