Disconnecting but game keeps updating

This is the first Time that this has happened to me but I just played a game today and for whatever reason I "disconnected" from the Server even tho in the background I could clearly see that the game was still going on. I saw the killer hit me, drag me down to the basement, hook me and I even saw how an other Survivor unhooked me but for whatever reason I could not interact with the game at all. The only option I had was an "OK" button which would just send me to the main menu and giving me a penalty of about 2:20 min.
