But the "Legacy" Items in the steam inventory
I think all time limited exclusive items should be added to our steam inventory.
Especially now with the new hollowed blight cosmetics around the corner this would be a nice addition.
With Legacy i mean anything that isn't available anymore, like the "Untamed donkey jacket", "Pro-pain", Original Legacy etc.
Your Legacy Items would be safe from a file wipe, i already lost my Legacy 1 Claudett and Trapper, now i fear every day about my howling ground cosmetics and the ones from the BBQ Event. Stuff in your steam-inventory doesn't get deleted that easy, so it would be a nice bonus safe thing
You could show of your special items to other players. With the ability of an item showcase, that steam provides, you can show your special items on your profile, some people are already doing this with the regional exclusives that get added to the inventory
It makes it harder for hackers to obtain legacy items, because they might can manipulate the save file but not their steam inventory
