I mean, i was facing Rank 1s all day long with other killers, but then the game decided that a Legacy 3 nurse should play with a bunch of Rank 20s all of the sudden, if it wasnt MMR, then idk who to blame :X

I don't recall OP ever implying they wanted an easy game. Could you fill me in on this?

Last we knew, the devs were running MMR on the background for comparison purposes with the current ranking system but it was not actively matchmaking. Before they turned it on, they made an announcement and it was restricted for 24h. Since then the old ranking system has been back in place. A few points that might help clarify your situation might be:
- It has been confirmed that the current system will stretch the rank requirements the longer the other side awaits in the queue so that players don't wait too long for a game even it has a huge rank disparity.
- For the ranking system, It doesn't really matter that you're a P3 Nurse with thousands of hours or a fresh first-timer. You will be matched with any red ranks and adjacencies (purples ranks in this case).
- My personal suspicion is that it also tries to pair the survivors by averaging them as a team. In this case, the survivor team is equivalent to a rank 8.25, close enough to be paired to a red rank if they've been in the queue for a while.

Doesn't matter what Op is implying, killers just want easy games. It's all they want out of mmr, proven by the complaining when bhvr did their test.

For the 10 millionth time: MMR is not active right now. Rank based matchmaking is still in effect.

I think they need better match making system.
I have less than 200 hours, i know i am rank 7/8 i hover around those two. But you cannot beat experience.. I would be facing against red rank teams and getting my ass whooped, taunted at then at the gate be TB at and flash light clicked. i always try my best to try and get at least all hooked but sometimes with SWF red ranks i cannot even do that :( I do not have that experience and still learning. with the hours i have played that is with survivor too.
I know playing against reds you can learn and people may say just get over it and yes.. true but another thing i do not use a sweaty strong build. i play fair.
It can be hard as killer to do objectives, meaning all.
getting a chase, hook and finding another survivor doing the same, busting gens, pallets and other stuff like that.
I generally find i have more fun with low rank purple and green ranks even lower but in yellow ranks most would be new unless they have not played for awhile or a smurf or on a new platform.

I also feel that lower ranks and less experienced killers/survivors suffer a lot more than those that are in reds and have been playing since day one.

Ruin/Undying on Nurse (especially a good Nurse, what I would assume is the case with OP) is basically "wanting an easy game".

As others have said, MMR is not active. Either the Matchmaking had a hickup (which would explain the Rank 17, they probably waited a very long time already for a game, so they got into your game) or it was a full SWF.

Might have been an SWF. Theoretically the system is supposed to base the matchmaking on the highest rank in the group but that doesn't work most of the time.
But I had games with a grey rank in a red rank lobby who was matched with one of the red ranks, so sometimes the system seems to work. Maybe you encountered of of those rare cases.

So the same could be said about every survivor running Dead Hard, Borrowed Time, Unbreakable and Decisive Strike on my matches, all of them want easy AF games, right?
If i wanted easy games i'd be using addons and Macmillan offerings all day long...

i think people still don't realise how mmr is going to work. You will be playing with people with an elo similar to yours, no matter the rank. For example a guy that doesn't play the game much and he is rank 15 at this moment could be 3x better than a rank 1 guy that plays the game a lot. When MMR will be active, ranks won't matter that much.
I'm a rank 17 survivor, but i've been playing since 2016, does that mean i'm bad at the game? Not really, it means that i'm not playing the game that much to rank up.
That's why i think MMR is going to be good for people who doesn't play the game that often, i'm playing against and with newbies and it's not fun for either of us, but i can't do nothing to play against better players since i don't have the time to rank up.

Games as killer:
60%: You completely demolish survivor
10 %: Fair
30% You get demolish.
For me I just want more balance game. Being rekt isn't fun at all and demolishing survivor either.
