Would anyone really be mad at Lady Dimitrescu?
I know she’s a brand new character from the brand new game so she’s not as iconic as other options from resident evil. But from a promo standpoint on Capcom’s end I could see it happening because she’s one of the main characters from Resident Evil 8 and they want people to buy their new game.
Behavior likes to make their Killers distinct. And a nearly 10 foot tall dommy mommy would definitely stand out from the rest of the roster. Not to mention bring in tons of money from fans of RE and people who know nothing about RE but just want to spend more time looking at her.

I'm more interested in the power. I just hope it's not something like a Tyrant running slash that also breaks pallets.

I’d love lady dimitrescu as the new killer and she’d fit very good. I’d also prefer her over older resident evil killers tbh

I mean if she was the killer I wouldn't mind too much, but as someone who's been a Resident Evil fan all my life and played pretty much all the games, I'd prefer if it was one of the Tyrants.
9 -
Her killrate would be at least 95%
2 -
I'm really hyped on the next chapter, can't wait to see the new character and perks! 😁
1 -
Nope even though i'd prefer one of her daughter's I wouldn't be mad if Lady D was chosen instead
2 -
The Devs have said that the license holders are sometimes heavily involved with the Chapter development. Silent Hill is a good example this. I feel like regardless of who the characters are for the Chapter, Capcom will be heavily involved and have had input on what they want the game mechanics and map to look like.

They wouldn't be mad at all. You're forgetting the DBD community is full of degenerate porn addicts that see nothing wrong with their behavior and even post porn in this forum. Even the guy handling the twitter is like that and encourages the other kids.
I just hope they actually put effort in the killer and its' not another "Oh, let's name this killer The Trickster, oh, he doesn't trick anyone, he just throws blades, like how The Legion power is just running fast for 2 seconds".

I would be. Re8 doesn't need the press of having Lady D in DbD. She's not getting in the game, the chapters been in work for a longer time so the chances are not in her favor anyway. I AM getting mad at seeing these threads though so I guess by nature I am now less inclined to want her in the game as well, so thanks.

If a long-standing franchise like RE creates a new character to renew interest in its series and then just hands it out to be used elsewhere, that'll be really dumb on their part. It'll miss the chance to capitalize on fans of the old RE games by bringing characters from the older games to DbD. No one has any connection to Lady Dimitrescu, it's just the new hyped thing. People have connections to other long-standing RE characters, they see Nemesis or Leon or Jill and immediately think "Resident Evil!" They remember (hopefully with nostalgic fondness) playing the games featuring those characters.
It's better to squeeze more life out of the old characters than to spread your new characters thin.
4 -
Not really. It's Resident Evil, so I'm gonna buy it either way.
1 -
There are many, many killer-possibilities in the RE universe and each would be a welcome addition. You could get a few chapters out of that franchise alone. Lady Dimitrescu would be as welcome to me as Nemesis, Mr. X, Jack Baker and many more!
3 -
I'd be a tad annoyed. They have a lot of cool characters to choose from so I don't see any reason to choose her when there's hardly anything known about her. People could get the game and end up hating her character for all we know so jumping on a possibly temp hype seems like a bad idea to me.
Even if we're going to go the sexy route why not choose Deborah. She's straight up naked and some kind of lust mutation. For males there's Wesker or any of the big boys. There is a lot of sexy to choose from really.
9 -
Nope. Personally, I would love to see her as our newest killer.

I don't want the killer to be Lady Dimitrescu. It should be an iconic killer and survivor. Let's keep your junk in your pants and think about the bigger possibilities.
15 -
It has to be an iconic RE character or no interest here. I like the series but their best work in the past.
2 -
As someone who's played all the resident evil games I wouldn't be mad, I'd just be disappointed.
0 -
I wouldn't be mad but I would be disappointed as i'd personally rather have more iconic characters. The same games for the survivor side too, much rather have someone like Leon over Ethan.
0 -
It's not fair for the old RE fans to add a brand new character.
Also as a romanian myself I get headaches every time Capcom pronounces her name so I'd like to hear it as less as possible.
1 -
Why do they pronounce her name wrong? Weren't they the ones that decided on the name? Surely they would educate themselves on pronunciation, lol.
0 -
You kidding right? As soon as she's announce for dbd people will simp for her. Matches will no longer be matches as soon as they see her survivors will run up to her and worship her while I'm stuck doing 5 gens by myself. But yeah it could be cool nemesis or Mr x could also work.
2 -
Sadly the way they pronounce it and the way the characters pronounce it ingame is not even CLOSE
It's supposed to be Dee-mee-tress-coo
0 -
we know little if anything about her. I'd prefer Nemesis but that's just me.
1 -
I would. It's not honoring the franchise to include a bad guy from RE7 or RE8 because that's just bandwagoning and trying to seem hip with what's popular right now. There are tons of characters more deserving than someone like her.
3 -
I’ll be mad if it isn’t her
0 -
I doubt Dimitrescu had even been shown off to the public, and thus became famous, by the time they made this deal with Capcom. Using her wouldn't be bandwagoning - it would be shilling. Bandwagoning would be using the RE2 Tyrant.
1 -
As long as she gets to sit on me I don't care
0 -
I wouldn't be really mad, but I'd rather see Mr.X, mid-change Birkin, Nemesis (but only if he growls out STARS every now and then), or Mendez.
1 -
Not happening
0 -
No, it would not. Nobody wants a regular tyrant anyway except maybe me. Mr X and Nemesis are way more popular.
0 -
Mr. X is basically a regular tyrant, just a finished, mass-produced one.
0 -
She's unironically the killer that I want to be added. But keep in mind that's coming from someone who knows nothing about resident evil so most oldschool fans probably want an original character.
1 -
I'd be extremely disappointed. That character would just be a promotional tie-in rather than something I feel most fans would actually enjoy. No one knows much about the character, she's just a flapper babe with big breasts. For that reason tons of people want her. Maybe the character is actually boring, irritating, lame, etc., and we wouldn't know it until the game were released.
I'd much prefer any iconic RE killer over her. Then at least we know what we're dealing with.
0 -
I have a feeling the killer will actually be The Tyrant from RE:1 (even matches the naming convention).
Just to add to the speculation If it was The Tyrant, the amount of cosmetics they could make is high as there is basically a tyrant (or something like one) in every RE game.
1 -
That's true, but I hope you're wrong. If you can slot 5 different legendary skins on a killer and have them all fit, it means you have a very generic killer whose power lacks personality. Even if they did go for a generic Tyrant though they'd probably choose the RE2 one because he's far more popular since two years ago. The RE1 Tyrant would end up being the skin.
1 -
The problem with the Mr.X (I know just to differentiate the two) Is the massive Arm Tyrant has as a weapon. If it's Tyrant I do hope they don't have him be a generic m1 killer (Personally I could see a transformation power similar to oni in that you activate it, maybe permeant buffs as he mutates through the match There's a lot they could do, but I get the concern)
0 -
If they do a standard Tyrant, whether it be the RE1 one with the claw or Mr. X, you're looking at a killer with some sort of lunge attack and probably wall-smashing, pallet breaking elements like what you'd expect of any really big killer. The only way to really surprise people is if Mr. X has to chase you into zombies like a Hag chases you into traps. That would emulate how he plays in the RE2 remake.
If they really wanted permanent mutation powers the better choice would be Birkin.
0 -
If the devs actually put Lady Dimitrescu in the game, I'll have to rethink my opinion of them.
But I'm 99% sure it won't happen.
0 -
For me, the biggest disappointment wouldn't be Dimitrescu but instead if the whole chapter is a shill-job for the upcoming RE4 remake.
0 -
I just dont get why people are so obsessed with her and we know almost nothing about her yet...
I'm optimistic she's cool in Re8 but people really should wait to see.
0 -
It would still be annoying on the one hand since he is just entering RE and it would be boring to play a character that almost nobody knows unless you are a very active follower of the franchise.
0 -
I know what you mean. They would be better using a classic character like Nemesis to draw in fans
2 -
I still don't understand peoples obsessive love with this 'lady Dimitrescu'. The daughters i'd understand, but her...i don't get it.
I'm not starting a argument, i'm just wondering what people like about her so much when we haven't seen that much yet

Trickster is literallt his artistic name, tho
U feel like u're mad cause Legion doesn't disguise themself as surviv
0 -
Yeah
Lady D was obvs made at a day to night, and not even planned at least some months by Capcom, sure
0 -
Not mad, but kinda disappointed. Also that'd be a huge risk for Capcom to take because they had no clue that Lady D would become so popular and that Village would become a success. If even just Lady D's section was a failure, people would look at the chapter and go "oh, it's her" and not buy it. Capcom most likely went with someone from RE2, 3, or 7 as those games and their stalker characters have already succeeded and are popular enough to warrant an appearance in DBD.
- There's iconic characters like Mr. X, Birkin, and Nemesis out there. If they really want a modern RE character, they'll go with Jack Baker.
- We don't need more people simping for her. That's stupid and needs to die off. All bringing her in DBD would do is increase the amount of people simping for her.
- She really doesn't have much to work with for a power unfortunately. All she really does in the game is swing her claws.
- It would mean that BHVR created a chapter for one of the biggest horror series of all time in LESS THAN A YEAR. There is a good chance that it'll end up being rushed just to make the release date, which would be very disappointing for a license as popular as RE.

Not mad, just disappointed.

SPOILER. Honestly with the lore that shows what appears to be Vladimir the Impaler (Dracula) I am going to guess that he will be the "vampire" esque killer to come later. She is very new and i couldnt see them getting the resident evil license which capcom was actively looking for licensing for their 25th anniversary so id imagine you will get a more iconic character thats more recognized. My guess is Nemesis or Mr.X with nemesis and tyrant skins. Most other things are too big or proportioned obnoxiously(Birkin) whatever we get i hope it is a strong killer with unique perks and abilities
1 -
I wouldn't say mad, but i'd feel like it would be a waste seeing how there's much more iconic and interesting killers to choose from
1 -
Not at all. Lady D became instantly iconic just from the trailers and demos, but more than that RE8 was released literally last week, so by the time the 5th anniversary of DbD kicks off, She'll still be in everyone's minds, and DbD will act as additional advertising for RE8, which honestly seems like a win/win from either marketing team to me. Lady D has more memes than you can count, and had them MONTHS before the game she's featured in even came out, so While not as much of a hit to everyone's nostalgia like Nemesis, Mr X, The Tyrant, or even Rebecca in her Cheerleader or Nurse outfit (google it!), she's already left a massive impression, and it would be idiotic if Capcom and DbD didn't pair up to ride the wave of her popularity.
My only concern for Lady D, is that... well, there's no other way to say this... I think the DbD survivor community already knows her weakness:
