Pyramid head could use a change
After playing him a bit, I like his design and gameplay element but him as an anti looper kinda killer feels unfair for survivors. A lot of the time it feels like me zoning the survivors with my power is better than using my actual power (punishment of the dammed), that isn’t very satisfying to me especially since landing his shockwave is WAY more pleasing than zoning and landing an m1. The shockwave is also way to risky to use in open areas since you have to ready survivor movement precisely and if you miss you suffer a whole flipping 3 second cooldown and at that point you’re literally just better off zoning with his power. I’m not really good with numbers but I’m hoping they’ll make him move slower when using rites of judgment but to compensate lower the cooldown of missed punishment of the damned, slightly increase the range and speed and make it leave trail of torment whenever you use it. This way it’ll give you an incentive to go for those satisfying predictions without betting it all and letting a survivor get away as well making it more fair to loop him as survivor.

Making it easier to loop pyramid head would just make him more like an m1 killer.
Looping should not be the only thing a survivor can do to run the killer around, you can play against him by leaving areas earlier and pre dropping pallets.

That’s kinda how you loop deathslinger and clown but that isn’t fun at all, it’s very boring and very easy to do. They should make him more like huntress by not making him more punished for missing but giving survivors more counterplay.

I'm not even sure what it is, but he will get a nerf with the upcoming patch. I think it has something to do with canceling his power. He might not be able to pull off a simple hit after canceling his power anymore. Even though I play him a lot, I don't even bother reading the patch notes anymore. But if you're interested, you can take a look.

Is he not already punished enough for missing? If he misses his POTD attack then you can just make distance on him. Looping is also very boring for a killer too, especially when against good survivors.

The only change I’d give to Pyramid Head is that getting hit with Punishment of the Damned should give you torment

already in the game, was a fix to the 0.2s POTD exploit. it didn't do much, he still feels amazing to play as
until you get a 4man w-key squad3 -
Yeah I agree with this. I somewhat wish he could interact with the cages too

Yes that’s why to compensate a nerf reduce the cooldown for missing and buff the range and speed for it. Right now it just feels like I’m canceling my power and the survivors essentially has no options

The most recent change they made where he can't instantly fake his m2 and follow it up with an m1 is fair. It was compensated with a reduction of his cooldown when using POTD fully.

Why is everyone trying to make all killers with any kind of ranged projectile into huntress. It happens to slinger and trickster, now PH. What's next, clown ? Sorry but this kind of suggestion comes up all too often as everyone just needs to complain when killer doesn't get massive slowdown when using a ranged power.
PH's power isn't supposed to be used in open areas, it's used to cut off window/pallet vaults, make prediction shots through walls and stuff like that. It works perfectly fine as it is now.

To be fair,
I LOVE the idea of PoTD leaving a Trail. It would give PHead so much more options.

They are starting to catch on!
Abort mission! Repeat, abort mission!

he is fine, fun to play as (kinda) not taht fun to go against, but making him more obnoxious with his power will just make it worse.

Yeah it bothers me to that any killer with a projectile always get suggestions to turn them into a huntress.
Like PH's power is already pretty telegraphed too. It doesn't instantly fire and survivors get the warning on the ground which can allow them to dodge the attack.

Hold W.
Best mindgame
Totally doesn't throw my game off and make me mindgame myself due to them Holding...

It's his biggest weakness which makes him lose sometimes. Bad sounds just add to that. You suspect someone at a loop while they are already gone.
I started using Stridor on him which helps quite alot and also helps pin pointing a Survivors position trough walls.
But yeah, good Survivors who also move unpredictable while also holding W will crush Pyramid Head with ease.

Good survivors just Hold W against Any killer. watjoo mean

But on particular against PH because it's his main weakness. Sometimes even a good PH will try to shoot a Survivor who isn't even there anymore. It's feels as annoying to play against as Spirit against constant Iron Wills.
It activates my Inner Stridor. I don't want to, but I am forced to.

It's a bs strat, i hate it. but what can we do..

Pyramid Head was not designed from the start to have a 'ranged mode' and a 'melee mode' which is what it seems like you would like to happen. A long punishment for switching modes but then a slightly better ranged attack. Why not just play huntress at that point?
