Killer Mains: New Object of Obsession thoughts?
Personally, I play killer a tad bit more than survivor but when I do play survivor it’s solo queue. I always liked object in solo queue because I can see what the killer was doing and if they were chasing on heading my way. In SWF this information was broken, and having constant information on most killers was broken. I played more than enough matches against a coordinated SWF with object to realize just how busted it was.
I played some solo queue matches with new object today and I absolutely LOVED it. The info every once in awhile and when the killer’s aura reading perks are active gives me just enough information without putting a giant target on my back. It doesn’t seem like it would be broken on SWF’s anymore as well but I will let you know if I go against a coordinated SWF with it.
What are your thoughts? Killer mains especially

Didn't notice it really as Killer except that I see a Survivors Aura sometimes.
But as Survivor I kinda like the Perk, especially as the Obsession. Seeing eachother every 30 seconds is neat and the "no u" everytime my Aura is revealed is also neat.
It's gone from a broken and unfair Perk which made easy SWF games easier to a pretty neat and healthy Perk.

Just having it not be an almost constant stream of information for that survivor to tell their friends over Discord makes a world of difference. Going up against groups like that is rare but when you did it was just an awful feeling (they always tend to happen when you have a Trapper daily for some reason), and about the only perk that really gets screwed over by it (the new version) that I use is I'm All Ears.

OoO users will still get tunneled into oblivion.

I had one in my first game yesterday. Didn't really know how it wanted to handle it at first. It was a cocky David King every time it would show the aura's he would t bag. I was using plague who I'm not the best With. Choose to ignore and go after just other 3. He dc'd and i won at 3 gens.

Me too! Even if you aren't the obsession it's a great way to see where the killer is going with BBQ or if they have nurses it's nice to know when you should bail or commit to a heal. I hope the killers all don't mind it.

I hope this isn't the case. I only seemed to have one killer since the update who was displeased I was using it but besides that I've been treated no differently than if I didn't run it. It definitely still comes with danger if you're the obsession but it seems like most killers don't mind it as much.

Didn't try it yet as a survivor but as a killer it kinda got every single survivor running it killed due to revealing their auras at the worst possible time (1 dead, 2 hooked and the last survivors aura gets revealed right next to me as an example). It is now a two edged sword since you can't control when your aura gets revealed unless you always are next to a locker every 30s, but it can also give you good information if you are in a good position as it triggers together with basically telling you which aura perks killers have.

Haven't played against it yet, and not confident enough to run it as a solo.

Haven't played the new update yet but I love the changes. Old object wasn't the strongest thing in the game but it was definitely up there in terms of how much fun it sucked out of playing killer. Feels like they made it much less annoying to play against without completely gutting it, so I'm very happy with the changes on paper

I'm not sure. Most of the tunneling was OoO instantly clocking over a killer's rage meter when they saw the perk, or going "ugh, it's a SWF, gotta take their mole out ASAP." Now that the perk is less threatening and more of a wildcard (it hurts as much as helps now that you can't control when you don't want the killer to see you), the tunneling-by-proxy will probably cool down.

im a survivor main but ill tell you what i think of it anyway. being able to know if the killer has barbecue, nurses or any other aura reading perks/addons for that matter is really powerful. if you are the obsession youll know where the killer is every 30 seconds. the killer can also see your aura but most of the time theyre chasing someone so that isnt a huge issue. i do like how they added that 6% bonus speed when the killer sees you which gives you slightly more time to finish a gen if youre doing one

It's fine. I've seen it backfire a couple times when the Obsession tries to hide, only to have their aura revealed by Object.

I knew it's going to be great and it is amazing for both sides. Very good survivor perk if you're good at chases + massive synergy with MoM giving you kind of an old OoO.
As killer it no longer gives information one way controled by the survivors whenever they want it, 30s CD can't be abused in any way.
It's great in every single way.

I went against an Object yesterday and I think it's literally a perfect rework. I can actually deduce when their aura will be revealed and use it to my advantage.

Ooh, I never thought of Mettle. I gotta try that

I've gone against it a couple of times now, and it's not a dealbreaker, trial-ending perk like it used to be. Sure, it's still annoying in the hands of a SWF... Sort of. And it wrecks in a chase if the timing is right, that happened twice and I won't lie, I got a bit... Annoyed. Didn't help that I was playing on the somehow-buffed Cowshed.
But it's now my main info perk as a survivor. OoO, Iron Will, Lucky Break, and either For The People or WGLF. Still haven't been facecamped to death yet, but it's been close. Turns out killers don't like it when they lose you in a chase almost instantly only for you to be revealed to be across the map, somehow resisting the extreme urge to t-bag.
