Freestyle Claudette Still Ruined!?

What happened!? I thought you guys postponed Freestyle Claudette because your original mock-up didn't match the original artist's vision. The whale tail is still missing! That was clearly an important part of this outfit from the artist. Why would you even select this outfit as a contest winner if you weren't going to implement one of its most unique identifying features? Also the jacket and hair colors still seem off and the glasses look pretty bad. Please give this outfit just a little more love and update it down the road. It's one that the community was really looking forward to. Make the jacket bright neon yellow and a more reflective material. Make the hair bold bright red. Make the glasses look better. And please...add the whale tail!

I don't think we need to see her underwear in order for the skin to work. I do think the overall aesthetic is pretty different from the drawing, but I'll reserve judgement until I see how the skin looks in game. I can see myself using the top at least.

@Hex_Llama While I respect your opinion, I wholeheartedly disagree. This outfit embodied Claudette coming out of her shell and embracing her inner confidence and sexuality. The concept design told a story of a shy, reserved girl becoming a woman confident in her own skin. The bold colors, the style, the crop top, the flirtatious thong...this new Claudette wanted to be seen...to take center stage and be the focus for once. It was honestly a pretty inspiring design choice...but now the colors are muted, the body confidence significantly stripped away. Claudette is once again blending into the crowd. She is forever...Blendette :(

They always say that they use the concepts as inspiration.

Yes this can be frustrating if you liked it or if you are the artist, but why is it so important.

I would rather get some community outfits for lesser popular characters than the 100th outfit for Meg, Claudette, Nea or Kate. I stopped contributing concepts for Jeff for the same reason.

Of all characters, Claudette didn't need another new outfit in the first place.

But that's what the devs chose, so cool, at least it's different from her normal cosmetics...

Except they didn't stick to the artist's original design. What they created is very watered down and blends in with Claudette's other cosmetics, not standing out the way it could've.

So this brings me back to just being generally annoyed that Claudette got another cosmetic, because there's nothing special or interesting about it. It was a wasted opportunity in so many ways.

@Hex_Llama Ya perhaps, it really isn't that big of a deal. I'm just bummed that they took such a unique concept and made it so similar to the rest of her cosmetics. @TragicSolitude said it perfectly.

I'm just hoping they take this feedback and consider tweaking it to make it more like the original artist's concept.
