5 Tips for new Killers

Good evening, Forum!

I want to preface this post, by saying I'm consistently rank 1 but I class my self as a mediocre killer. This forum is filled with far better killers than I, so this is only aimed for new killers. Also I'm going to keep this short and sweet, so everyone feel free to contribute.

Tip 1 - Pressure your generators

Once you've hooked your first survivor, unless you can see the rest of them around and looking to un-hook...Pressure generators. Think about it like this, if you have one person hooked at least one person will have to consider the un-hook. That's potentially 2 people off of generators, in this time you need to pressure other survivors off of generators. In the ideal scenario, this is 3 people not working on generators. Now in some cases, you're going to have to use initiative whether it's viable to stay in the proximity. But rule number 1, is protecting your gen's and getting survivors off of them as much as possible

Tip 2 - Don't be afraid to end a chase

If you're chasing one person for too long and they're good at looping, go ahead and end the chase. Chances are you'll find some one weaker that you can down easier. Good loopers WANT you to chase them, they know good tiles, jungle gyms and overall safe areas. If they keep dragging you to where THEY want, you're not pressuring generators and they will pop so fast you can't believe it. Think about it like this, they're wasting YOUR time, while 3 people are about to pop gens.

Tip 3 - Don't be afraid to end a chase (Part 2)

If you've got a survivor injured and you can see someone else working on a generator, drop the chase and get the other survivor injured. Most survivors don't care if you're right in front of them, IF you're chasing some one else. In fact they will just stay working on the generator. If you end the chase and make the injured, you now have 2 people off of generators that are injured.

Tip 4 - Break some walls

Some breakable walls NEED to be broken immediately, this will save you a bunch of time and frustration if you just go and break them immediately. One example is Dead Dog Saloon, the Saloon is very safe for survivors... UNLESS the break 2 of the walls. They will loop you, until a few generators have been completed. There are some breakable walls, you NEVER break because they only benefit the survivor. You will learn these with time though

Tip 5 - Don't mind game every pallet

Some pallets after being dropped by a Survivor, need to be broken immediately. This is because the loop is pathed in a way, they can get the safe vault over (excluding bloodlust) the majority of the time. Don't try and mind game every pallet, some just need to be broken. Remember that survivor just wants to waste your time!

So to conclude, these are tips for very new Killers. This Forum is packed with Awesome Killers, so reach out to members of the community for advice.

I would also appreciate if other Killers could drop some pointers on this post.
