When it turns out you were right about your team
I just had this game where... ugh. I spawned next to a base skin Jake. He gets on a gen with me. We're plugging along when he misses his first skill check. Doesn't get up and look around, just keeps going. I back off, open a chest, then come back to the gen. He misses another skill check. I run away, because obviously the killer will be there in five seconds. He's on the hook in 15 flat. "God," I say bitterly. "This guy must either be drunk or trolling or new."
His identical base skin Jake teammate goes and saves him, then runs right into the killer and is immediately downed. I finish clearing my third totem and get onto my second gen as he's hooked. He waits ten seconds, then immediately gets himself into the second hook state, so I blow a sprint burst to save him before he can miss all the skill checks on hook. As I unhook him, with the killer somewhere off on the other side of the map, I crouch a couple times to indicate that I want to heal him. He runs off into the middle of Coldwind Farm and is on death hook 30 seconds later. "Sweet ######### Jesus," I say to myself. "Are they just intentionally acting like idiots, or did they just buy this game?"
On my first hook, both Jakes are dead and the Dwight has come to save me. Thanks Dwight. Unfortunately, between the three of them in ten minutes, they have managed to finish about half a generator, and that's all. As I finish my 4th solo gen and I see Dwight go down, I fantasize about how in the postgame I am going to bitterly ask if every one of my teammates is completely goddamn new to the game (besides maybe Dwight?). Killer closes hatch, I open gate, and get to postgame.
...oh.
Guess I can't be mad after all.
This may be the first time that matchmaking screwed up in the opposite direction in my favor instead of placing me with all rank 1s.

Ahh, DbD matchmaking. It's fascinating how it continues to be so horrible.

Unbelievable. No offense but glad to see it’s not just me who encounters nonsense like this with matchmaking. Unbelievable.
