frame rate issue ps4

I am not on a PS Pro but I have never really had a problem with frame rates on ps4. I have heard people talk about the issue and the last two days I have experienced this issue. It's becoming so bad that I can hardly play killer especially huntress or nurse even had problems as trapper, wraith, and hag with swings. You can totally tell they were suppose to hit but when the swing starts it gets so laggy from frame rate drop. I went to play as survivor but then lobbies taking longer than usual to load. I have played this game for over a year and enjoy it for the most part but the last few days the frame rates have been so terrible that I can hardly even play the game properly and I have never had this issue before. Anybody else experiencing this this?

    Optimization is bad in DBD.
If you want more fps, then you need better hardware.

Either that or you wait until the devs optimize their game properly (probably never)

I posted something similar yesterday, the framerate on PS4 dropped massively about 2 or 3 days ago and I have no idea why.

I read a comment from a dev or so that they are going to do console optimizations by the end of the year, so we'll have to wait and see until then.

Have you tried turning it on and off again? I'm not joking... I get improved performance when i close the game sometimes. The PS4 going into rest mode doesn't close the application. I suspect DBD has a memory leak somewhere.

This is actually true, I'll get a match where my animations get stuck and I run around looking like I'm repairing. It will continue to the next match but if I restart the game it clears up.

That is EXACTLY the issue I've experienced.

I believe this could have been it. I had it in rest mode the last couple days. I restarted the playstation and it seems to be working better. Thanks!

Always restart PS4 before you play DBD and if you go into the store.
