Question regarding perks / speed

I play the killer a lot recently (especially the Trickster) and quite often it feels as if I'm either at the same speed or even slower then the survivors (mostly after throwing the knifes).
I know that I'm slower while throwing the knifes, but afterwards? Is that a perk or does it only feel like it?

There is a small windup and codown period where your movement speed adjusts. Anything other than that is either a bug or placebo.
Or you could be using M&A, a perk that adjusts your FoV outside of a chase which tricks your brain into thinking you move faster when it's active.

Trickster is onyl 0.4 m/s faster than a survivor so if you see them far away it can feel take like it takes ages to catch up.
