Locked to 60 FPS?

Is this game really locked to 60 FPS? Or is there a way to get it above 60?

And just for my interest: Does anyone know why it is like this?

yes but luckily you can unlock it, sadly only to 120

You can uncap the framerate to 120 FPS.
