I got both Rank 1 achievements this season so i wanted to express my feelings on the rank system

Its utter shite i suck complete ass at the game but still was able to accomplish this feat. Safety pips are so easy to get its like what 1 safe hook save and maybe half a gen or 2? For killer its like down someone twice and hit a couple people a couple more times. Why is safety so easy?

pipping is also easy. One game i didnt even complete a whole gen just safe hook saved 3 times and pipped, #########? Killer is like 2 sacrafices which can be hard in the red ranks.

Is there any plan to change this getting to that legendary killer/survivor rank 1 status shouldnt be this easy should it?

    Yes piping has been made easy AF. Rank reflects playtime during a single season, thats all.

    I would love if we could get proper ranking system with ranked rewards but for that the game would have to be balanced properly first. (DBD is a casual game atm)

    Does not apply if another Survivor is inside that radius.
    Does not apply if the Killer is in a Chase.
    Does not apply if it is the last remaining Survivor.
    Does not apply if the Hook is on a different floor.
    The penalty greatly increases within a radius of 8 metres.

    I was piping by just doing borrowed time saves, running around from the killer and 0.5-1 gen every game. Didn't even care about surviving. The game puts zero pressure on you.

    Uhm...thank you! You're even admitting you're bad (I don't know if you are but I'll take it xD) and still got rank 1 on both roles. Thank you for being an honest person.

    Im not ass awful i can still put up a good fight but like compared to good people im not on their level xD

    The system is point based not skill based. It assumes you have learned most of the basics through time played to pip up.

    If the rank system was based on an actual leaderboard, rank would matter more.

    Right now its kind of like a participation trophy for everybody.

    I don't care how survivors get to rank 1, I'm just glad that there's more of them. It's better than waiting a long time for a game only to get the same people over and over again.

    It took quite a while actually (it took longer because I was typing in a dark room, and kept hitting the wrong keys). The point values were obtained from the DBD Wiki page, and used an Excel-like program to calculate the new values. Once everything was done, I double checked how you would gain points to make sure Iridescent was still possible in red ranks. Only the Devout and Malicious emblems were impossible to do using the modifiers.
