Maybe the dbd community isn't all that bad
So I was having a HORRIBLE game, I could not for the love of god get any skills checks, I messed up on practically every single one. My teammates were good but not great and we were going against a pretty good huntress. After the first two people die we still have 4 gens left and I was just ready for the game to end, so I did a quick vault to get the killer attention and pointed to a hook so I could just leave already and hope that the Claudette that was left could find the hatch. The killer came and I pointed to the hook but she wouldn't hook me, so I go back to miserably doing gens and failing every single skill check. The huntress comes over throws a hatch at a totem for me to cleanse and goes back looking for Claudette. The Claudette was hiding because I think she figured that the huntress was leaving me be. Finally she gets caught and dies, the huntress closes the hatch and let's me escape. Im sure she only left me out of pity for how sucky I was but never the less a good experience.

There are multiple good sports dbd players. You've just never heard of em because people on the forums tend not to make any discussions about things that make them feel good. most forum posts are feedback, complaints, critiscisms etc.

Yeah, this community is known for its toxicity, but we do have wholesome and friendly players out there.

If I have the time, I will do the same exact thing
Not a lot of things irk me enough in this game to go after someone specific out of spite but players who just hide to waste my time hoping the other person gets found first is high on that list. If I'm not looking to just leave the match, I will do the exact same thing and let the person who is hopelessly working on the gens go so I can go murder the person playing Hide & Go Seek...
