Why do killers bring moris when you have a key.

Member Posts: 1,288

So today I did an experiment in 10 matches I placed a key in my survivor. And in 7 out of the matches 10, the killer brought a mori. And I assume it was based on the fact I had a key. I also had multiple killers disconnecting as soon they saw the key. So do any killer user bring a mori when they see a key?

They probably didn't know about mori rework so they wanted to counter the key and the ones who do know just dodge the lobby as versing a survivor with key is nothing fun.

Yeah I dogged lobbies when I see someone with a key. I was just curious since I found a key earlier, and I had it in the next lobby and forgot to remove it. And the killer brought a mori, so after that I wanted to see more reactions if the killers would bring mories.

Yeah mori was a great counter to key before the change, so many killers took it as response to keys. But i usually took Franklin's Demise as it's more annoying and way more fun to use vs keys.

Moris are the Killers version of keys, and vice versa. Both end the game prematurely and strip the opponent of playtime. I'm a Survivor main and I've noticed moris a bit more in matches where I see someone bring a key than if all of us are empty handed - not always, but nothing is 100%.

I would personally love if both sides stopped using keys/moris but that's just me! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Moris arenโ€™t even a problem anymore

Moris are way worse than keys though. Sure both end the game early but moris just replace the third hook and saves yourself a few seconds. They only counter ds on second hook.

Keys are a free escape unless you get tunneled because of it.

Funny thing is that mori's enable keys cause the hatch spawns sooner when survivors die and mori's aren't fast enough anymore to outpace the key.

Best way is to dodge keys.

Close alternitive is to go very slug heavy and don't kill anybody untill you can get them all in one swoop.

If nobody dies the hatch only spawns when all generators are done. Still a hastle but that's the best perkfree counter i could find.

Mori's are still effective tunnelling tools. You can bulldoze through BT and completely ignore DS.

Mori is a waste of offering lol, someone should let them know about the mori change

I bring a mori and knockout so that when I mori the survivor there key is not underneath a hook and is less likely to be found by there teammates unless they were swf.

you might think that knock out is a useless perk but on a stealth killer it makes it very hard for survivors outside your terror radius to know which direction I'm in; allowing me to go straight to them rather than hook immediately.
