If DBD was realistic
I thought about DBD having another gamemode and it's called: Realisim
The rules are:
- All killers have a 20 meter terror radius
- Survivors are in 1st person
- 3 Random perks are chosen for you (Both sides)
- The animations are realistic (No 360s or moonwalking)

It's technically a different game at that point and massively favours killers.

Nah, lets go for REALISM!
- There is no Red Stain or Terror Radius
- There are no scratches
- Everyone is in first person
- A fall from any distance over 10 feet can potentially harm or cripple a character
- Exhaustion perks are not a thing
- Auras and notifications are not a thing
- Quick vaulting would come with the chance of injuring the character
- Killers would have wildly different amounts of hits to down based on the weapon they are using
- Generators would take days to complete, require parts, tools, and fuel
- A single hook would make that Survivor incapable of nearly anything. They have a massive hole going through their chest
- Constantly changing direction would come with the risk of slipping/stumbling
- Deathslinger would outright kill with most shots
I don't feel like adding more, but this is enough to make the game much more realistic. Honestly, it'd be amusing to see a game that was this unforgiving.

The Doctor would legitimately incapacitate if not outright kill survivors with his electric shocks and be the most overpowered killer in the game
In-short
3 -
People hit with Bubba's chainsaw just ######### die
5 -
- Survivors who step into Trapper's beartraps can no longer run and limp the rest of the game.
- People hit with Bubba's and Billy's chainsaws are mulched and die immediately.
- As Demogorgon is a literal inter-dimensional monster, a single hit immediately cripples Survivors.
- Being hit with Oni's kanobo smashes your skull open. Dude is strong enough to punch through wooden walls like it's nothing and tear out tongues.
- Breaking a generator too many times makes them unrepairable.
- Flashlights do nothing but illuminate the dark.
- Most killers can climb over pallets.
- Clown moves slower than most of the healthy, tough survivors.
- Deaths longer also suffers from moving slower.
- Healing yourself takes hours and requires painful stitching.
6 -
Also, Bubba and Bill's chainsaws will go from being insta-down to insta-kill

"The animations are realistic (No 360s or moonwalking)"
Moonwalking is realistic though.
7 -
Plague becomes one of the worst killers. Being vommed on her now takes several days before you start showing any effects and being bonked by an incense burner takes way more than two hits to down you.
Also, she probably collapses and dies the second she spawns into the trial.
7 -
- Literally no survivors can repair a generator, as none of them possess the knowledge of how to do so. A failed skill check on a gen would be also be an instant death, as this would actually be the survivor suffering from electric shock.
6 -
I was thinking this same thing. I've seen plenty of horror movies where a killer or survivor walk backwards. Lots of killers backing up into a spot for a surprise attack or survivors walking backwards so they can face the direction they think the killer will come from while moving away.
1 -
If a killer is carrying a survivor on their shoulder and drops down, the survivor is immediately incapacitated and cannot wiggle any more. Y'know, because their stomach just got slammed against a hard surface.
2 -
Also because they were already dying when the killer picked them up, and being manhandled and then dropped suddenly doesn't magically put them in a state to run again. So I propose they just flop off and the killer has to pick them up again.
1 -
The killer wouldn't need to hook anyone. Do you know the pain of being slammed into the ground several times, having a weapon shoved into your neck before bring stamped on?
I don't but I don't imagine it's something to survive easy.
Also survivors could climb on top of each other to climb over the fence and escape.
4 -
Well, the hooking is purely for ritual, isn't it? Assuming that is still why everything is happening, they'd still hook for the sake of the Entity. Might not really matter, but it's what makes the dark god thing happy, right?

If we're going for realism then there wouldn't be a malevolent spider god(dess)
1 -
WEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLL I think the point is to apply as much realism as possible while still maintaining the plot.
0 -
Survivors would be able to use common sense & fight the killer by using the knives in the lockers
5 -
realism
Bill gets lung cancer from his chainsmoking and gets winded after 5 seconds
5 -
It's a dance, Would you dance knowing that there is a high chance of dying? No you would ######### your pants just like anybody else
3 -
i can't moonwalk and if i can't do it it's not realistic
2 -
This. If what you want is realism and punishment then the Survivors open their toolboxes to find hammers, wrenches, or pick up rocks and sharp objects and rush and DS the Killer as a group. Instead of a few split seconds of agitated confusion and paralysis it just kills them and everyone casually finishes generators while talking about which cosmetics the Entity will bless them with next.
1 -
If DbD was realistic then everyone would die the moment a ######### machete swung by an evil supersoldier cleaves through their back.
2 -
You're telling me that in a realistic setting, where magic or whatever isn't real, that 4 young adults couldn't beat the ever living shite out of a burn victim like Freddy?

I'm down but these would have to be optional amd maybe as different options

I guess they could be in KYF? I really wish they change KYF into something like this: You press "Kill your friends" and there is a choice "Make a lobby" Or "Join someone else's lobby" And the lobbies have different gamemodes and you can modify them

Well if we're making it realistic, no more Spirit, hag or any other killers that require any sort of magic or supernatural things. Hooks would kill you right away, bear traps would make you limp, you would be leaving blood everywhere even if you get healed, killers would probably stop doing that animation after they hit you and just hit you two times in a row before you can get away, survivors would probably fight back instead of just running away, some survivors would be alot slower than other (like Meg would be alot faster than Claudette) Only certain survivors would know how to repair gens, Bubba and Billy would kill you as soon as they hit you with the chainsaw, Huntress and Trickster would do alot more damage.
I like the idea of dbd trying to be realistic because it's so unbelievably one sided lmao.

Haddonfield would suddenly become a very Killer sided map, Survivors would just break legs when falling down from those buildings.

Realism or hardcore mode
* No terror radius
* 1st person survivor
