Indirect Trapper NERF
I have not see many posts about this yet, though I believe this is a very important topic to address.
The reworked maps have by and large been an improvement to DBD. The look, feel and the mechanics of the maps have been altered to much success.
Unfortunately, one of the problems that has come with these changes has greatly nerfed the poster-killer for the game, Trapper. Trapper’s power relies on having hard to see spots for his traps that are high-traffic areas for survivors.
Before the reworks, tall-grass would be used to hide his traps and survivors had to be wary of going through grass. The map reworks have changed how the grass looks, making this is nonviable strategy for Trapper. Now Trapper is forced to either have nowhere to place traps if given a reworked map, which is probably a 75% chance, or has to run the green camouflage add-on to even have a chance to catch any redrank player in a trap. This also compounds with the time-waste of how long it takes to get bear traps and lay them down. Having nowhere to place traps and having to collect them to use your power has nerfed him into a D tier killer. An inconsistent power that relies on map rng with a lot of setup and no payoff.
Please consider making bear traps invisible when placed in grass and making that a mechanic of trapper, possibly highlighting grass with a white outline that turns yellow when a trap is placed inside of it. Just to improve killer compatibility with future updates and maps, insuring the killer is guaranteed a spot to put his trap.
TL;DR
Map reworks hurt Trapper, so implement guaranteed spots for his traps.
