"DS is bad now, it never activates." Maybe try using it more ?

Stats don't lie right, at least with killers survivors always say so.

I'm just going to wait for the sluzzy comment on this.

I like that they're showing stats like this.

I do see a problem in that the % escape rate is based on games where the survivors brought DS, even post-nerf. So the escape rate doesn't include people who ran it previously but stopped using it post-nerf. It also doesn't include anything about the games with no obsession during the week between 4.7 and 4.7.1 where they made the obsession always appear (because nobody brought DS to those games obviously).

I'd be more curious to see overall average escape rate between the 3 points in time (pre-nerf, post-nerf, post-obsession change), including anybody who ran DS pre-nerf but stopped using it post-nerf.

I do want to add that most people that I see bring DS now seem to be decent at the game, whereas before almost everyone was bringing it regardless of their skill level.

Edit: cleaned up a couple sentences for clarity.

I still don't like stats like these.

They only serve to be divisive.

I like that BHVR is sharing, but oh boy this could turn into a shitshow fast.

That's why the stats are mainly for fun or to give us a bit of perspective on the numbers behind the perk. It's the same with killer stats, just because killers like pig have high kill rate, doesn't mean they're good compared to actul good killers.

Just because DS's escape rate didn't change doesn't mean we shouldn't look into it more in the future be it buffs or nerfs (imo buff are far more likely at least from my POV).

Interesting that the use rate pre-nerf was only 27%. If you listened to the forums you’d have thought it was run by every survivor in every single match.

Also interesting to see the use rate drop so sharply. I wonder if that was before the change to have an Obsession in every match, or after.

Because it's easier to remember the times you get hit by a DS than the times you don't, because no one brought the perk.

27% basically means that on average at least 1 survivor in the match had DS and that survivor was likely going to do things like repair a gen in your face or do the annoying jump in a locker strat.

I rarely ran DS to begin with but I'm even less likely to do so now simply because there's always an obsession. One of the best "small" changes they've made in a long time, IMO, especially for solo players like me.

I'm not really sure what the devs are trying to say by posting these stats, though. Seems like the social media people are trolling more than anything, tbh.

Stats show the escape rate remained the same since the people use it, use it smarter or when they are actually being tunneled. Because previously people would just use it to force the killer to pick them up. Or it would give them 1 minute of immunity. Since people would be unhooked do gens right in the killers faces. And that point one is likely not being tunneled. I still run it since DS has given me escapes that would not have happened had I not had it. Such as end game when I'm being camped, and I have a guaranteed escape.

By this stats before only 1 person per match would have run ds either these stats are false or we cried for no reason how it's game losing

Um when ya think how many perks are in the game on the survivor side 1 person a match having ds is ######### nuts.

I'm not speaking of other perks or other survs I'm talking about usage of ds which was one usage per game I belive that was much higher before but I'll trust stats to not start any drama
