Have yall noticed that survivors only say gg when they win ?
I mean think about it survivors only say gg when they win but when they all die they just send death threats, salt, and blame the killer for the mistakes that the survivors made. I mean I love getting salt msgs but sheesh lol its sad. I know there are a few survivors that say gg regardless of losing and I respect them. Some people just need to take the L and move on. Like what are the odds of survivors saying gg when they lose.

No.

I saw a survivor that sacrificed themselves for their team, and then said GG after being sacrificed.
Of course, that was just one person.
But that does mean that there are at least some exceptions.

Nope, Not really.

Most people either say gg or yell at me.
It's definitely not all the time.

I'm lucky if they say gg in good faith when they win. Usually they just gloat or cry. I think i've been told to kill myself more times when survivors win and I play like ######### than when I do the heaviest dirtiest camping + tunneling + slugging ever.

the reason you see more salt than gg is because the majority of the survivors who die...aren't going to wait 8 minutes for the game to end just to say the letter g twice in succession. They've already had their peace and moved on
You already have to wait 6 minutes to get a lobby in the evenings, no ones going to wait UNLESS they want to be toxic.

- no ones going to wait UNLESS they want to be toxic.
Nothing more satisfying than someone who dies or DCs at the very beginning of the match staying the ful time just to trash talk

If I die close to the end of the game, I'll stick around to say gg.
Otherwise, if the game still has quite a while to go I'm going to leave and queue back up.
3 -
Most people don't stick around to the end of the game unless they were at the end of the game. The reason you don't see many GG's from sacrificed survivors is that they aren't there to say it. That's why it mostly comes from survivors that escape.

SWF survivors are typically very whiny, don't expect much from their chat lol
2 -
This happens for Killers as well, people typically say "gg" when they win and feel happy, they don't say it when losing because they don't feel happy... outside of a smaller percentage of mature gamers.
EDIT: It also might be as others said, the Survivors who were sacrificed and were chill probably just left the game to find another.

Had a 3 and a half min game where 3 people keyed out and you bet your ass I got 3 ggs for that. It was super fun and fair to lose the game, depip, get no points what so ever because the map said "get [BAD WORD]" and they brought a totally fair and balanced item.

This is another impolite and incorrect variation of the false dichotomy known as "us versus them." Most Players do both both roles, not just one or the other. What I have noticed is that bad sports tend to only say GG if they win, but there is no correlation whatsoever between the role they chose to play. Posts like yours stink of bias and ill-intent. Please refrain from furthering this false narrative. I consider the motives of people who makes posts like this suspect at worst, and ill-informed at best; it makes me think you need to play more time in both roles. I get just as many GG from Survivors as I do Killers, and I suspect I play a lot more than you do. That means my sample size is far more accurate.

I say gg when I lose

I'd say its 50/50 overall if everyone is going to say ggs in the endgame chat or spew salt left and right.

I mostly see gg's from survivors who seemed to have fun in the match.
Though I'll admit, fun for some may be directly tied to winning.

If I win, I give 'em a GG and move on.
If they were an especially good sport, I thank 'em and move on.
If they kill me, they get a "Darn. GG."
If they're being [BAD WORD], I just leave.

nah i say gg ez if i win or if i get totally destroyed, playing as killer or survivor

I think that's a pretty common trend amongst players in general.
You also don't see many killers saying "GG" after 0K displeased entity... but when they 4k, it's almost always "GG".

I don't know about that. I say GG (or I elaborate more if I can to personalize the compliment) whether I win or lose. I run into plenty of people who do the same.

Both sides player here. My pc got burned in 2018 and I play dbd on console since then. In despite dbd on console sucks vs dbd on pc I don't miss the chat at all.

yeah there is some serious salt in this community...
though one of the reasons why you see less "ggs" when you sacricife everyone (or a majority of them) is also because many of the survivors who died early on arent in the lobby anymore.
ofc that in no way excuses those who are toxic towards you in end chat, but it might explain why you see less "nice" survivors as a killer.

Have y’all noticed that mains of one side only ever acknowledge misbehavior of the other side even though that behavior is typical for toxic players on both sides?
3 -
I got called a ######### because i got a 1k against a swf so anything goes
0 -
I have, but my tribe mentality prevents me from admitting as such for my own side, so GG EZ git gud.
1 -
That is not true at all. I’ve played against a lot of chill survivors that said gg even after a loss.
1 -
Ah, just as killers only say gg when they win but call the game a BS genrush when everyone gets out?
It goes both ways here. If the game was a good game, as in, an actual good one, one where you didnt ruin the fun, people will say GG or say nothing.

I've had someone say "gg, the best pyramid head I've ever faced" after a 4k at 3 gens so, no. Not at all.
1 -
So ?? I never seen a killer saying GG when he dies on hook neither
0 -
i personally say gg even if I die ^w^ (yes, I did die in this match)
0 -
It won’t be shown to the players that were still in the match while you typed that gg. Only chat messages that get sent while you are already in the end game chat screen will be actually shown to you..

No I am usually just met with the silent void of console players and one lone ggwp from the single PC player.

If the survivors win, all the still alive survivors will be guaranteed to be right there to see chat as the game ends. If they lose and especially if they died earlier on, they might've already left and gone to another match. Of course you'll see more chat activity in general (gg included) from survivors that are actually guaranteed to be there unless they just click continue instantly no matter what or have chat hidden.
Even with that I see either 1 or more ggs or nothing at all in chat in the vast majority of the matches where I'm there at the end, no matter if I play killer or survivor.
EDIT: Somehow I missed the post on page 1 that basically said the same thing, but yeah it should honestly be expected that survivors that live talk more than ones that die, lol.

Agreed but I notice a lot of say ggez when they win too. Survivor just seems to bring out the worst in people.

I say gg when it was a good match, regardless if I died. Just depends on if the match was ACTUALLY fun.
0 -
Not really, but usually people say gg when they win also killers. when i win i dont say anything when i lsoe i dont say anything, i dont care tbh i leave, except if they were toxic then i probably would say something it doesnt matter if lost or win, probably would say something.
