Hag players and macros

I've been seeing the term "macros" thrown around on the forums sometimes. It's a mechanic where you can tie a specific action to the mouse or keyboard. As I play on console, are macros considered cheating in this game since PC players have the upper hand? On one of my matches, every time I or another player set off a trap, the Hag instantly teleported and landed a hit, no matter where we were on the map. I suspect they were using macros possibly. I think I saw that you can set macros for almost anything, even if you're the survivor. Is this cheating? It seems kind of unfair.

I play Hag and when I walk around I just spam click my button for insta teleporting. I don't think that's cheating, unless spam clicking a button is considered cheating as well since I instantly teleport and hit.

Some people put it on mouse wheel as well so they don't have to spam click all the time, mainly the 3 existing Hag mains though.

Also, using macro on a flashlight doesn't do anything except the broken spam click noise, which is cringe as fu**

Are they using macros? Or are they just teleporting as soon as a trap is triggered?

I'm not sure. I'm speculating. Why would the Hag chase an injured survivor and when her trap is activated, she instantly teleports across the map to chase whomever activated it?

Because chasing as a 110% speed killer without any anti chase powers is ######### miserable against any decent survivor.

I mean it's not hard to teleport to her traps. Like, why would you even need to macro it? It triggers, you click to teleport, and then you attack.

The hag one is probably just binding it to the mouse wheel. No need for a macro on that.

Using 3rd party software for them can be bannable so if they use macros it's generally ones which are build into devices such as keyboards and the mouse.

Survivor ones are normally just to bind a key where it will do struggle mechanics. Its akin to a non official controller with a turbo button. That imo is just a qol thing really as it saves breaking devices. Another is for flashlights but those dont do much just make that annoying noise.

A lot of hag mains simply just change their teleport keybind to their scroll wheel so they can instantly react. Has nothing to do with a macro.

Yeah, I don't play on PC so I'm not savy to their methods.
