honestly i think i cause too many issues to get trusted. the amount of times i see a comment of mine has been edited by a mod to remove something is alarming and I'm incredibly shocked I haven't been nuked from the platform.

Too many people complain about the devs, and this game overall. It's an AMAZING game. It's imperfect, as are 99.9 percent of games, but it's amazing nonetheless. The fact that they've stuck with it for this long and keep supporting it, keep pumping in ways to get cool stuff, keep providing freebies and incentives and ways to get boosts in-game, is just awesome. I wish more people appreciated the work that they do. Most people probably do, they're just not vocal about it.
A question though: as I was NOT here for the community challenges, what does it mean that, for example, people could get together to unlock a map (as described in the OP)? Unlock it for what purpose? All maps are already unlocked so I'm confused as to what the community challenge actually does.
I LOVE the bonus rift fragments, the crown and the bloodpoint bonuses. The Pride charm is great but it's gonna make my survivor stick out like a sore thumb, lol.

Okay so I wasn't around for this either but here's what my friend 3x0tic told me about that time. Basically, the devs set a time frame and a challenge- get x amount of hooks, x amount of generators, etc. Across the entire playerbase. This then caused them to release rewards, one of which was the map "Groaning Storehouse", which wasn't in DBD when the game launched and was added later due to one of these challenges.
To use an example I was here for, the Feng Min Phoenix Shirt. If you go to Feng Min, the shirt will be unlocked. It is for everyone and has been since we completed the challenge. However, prior to the Howling Grounds event (2018 Lunar New year event), nobody had the shirt. Through collecting a certain amount of Burnt Coins (killer currency) and Gold Coins (survivor currency), we would unlock a bonus cosmetic. And we reached the goal, getting the Feng Min skin unlocked.
In terms of what these community challenges will unlock, it'll most likely be the two skins and charms (Wraith + David King anniversary skins, and the Naughty Bear + 5th anniversary cake fingers thing charms). However, there could be more rewards too that we don't know about, and most likely won't until they reveal them.

July 1st-July 15th. Like they said in the infographic on-stream. This is the period of time where the crowns, event items, and offerings are available, and the Shrine of Secrets refreshes every day.
For the first week, so July 1st-July 7th/8th, the shards shall be available.
There is no 2x event as far as I'm aware, however there will be Anniversary offerings, similar to the Gruesome Gateu (103% bonus points) and the Ghastly Gateu (104% bonus points). We can infer that it will be a bonus 105% points for all players in the trial, and stackable, as that's what it had been for previous years (with 1% less, obviously)

Is the Anniversary Event definitely July? I saw some comments saying they meant to say June 1st it starts because the actual anniversary is June 14th and to have it in July is a bit strange.

Weird, I also thought that the anniversary events were in June. The RE DLC officially launches in mid-June, doesn't it?
Actually that leads me to another question I should probably find out about: Do any of the bloodpoints that are gained in the PTB carry over when you go back to the main game, at any time? I could swear that they specifically said no in the stream but I've seen several people mention how they're grinding the new characters fast so they can have all their perks ready upon launch.

1) Yes, June 15th is when the RE Chapter releases. The day before the official Anniversary, though the celebrations don't start until July 1st as confirmed above by Mandy.
2) No progress from the PTB is transferred over to live servers, including Bloodpoints, Shards, items, or any Auric Cells spent or bought. People who grind on the PTB to have these perks available on launch are doing nothing but wasting their own time and giving us something to laugh at.

Okay thanks, that's exactly what I figured. I initially thought that I'd reinstall the PTB to play some more RCPD and bot matches but figured "nah, I'll just wait a couple of weeks". But then when a few people said that they were hurriedly prestiging the characters I thought "ehhh....isn't that sort of a waste of time"?

The codes were not meant to be for a week, they were short term codes for the stream times, i think maximum 1 day
