Should zombies take longer to respawn?

So I've played quite a bit of the PTB and I'm officially addicted to Nemesis. But one there's one particular thing I noticed about his power and I kinda wanted to see what everyone else thinks so the devs can work around it if necessary:

Should zombies take a little bit longer to respawn so the killer sees them more like a valuable resource rather than a quick farm? Hold tight, I'll explain my point below.

My opinion about Nemesis is that kinda like Oni or Plague he's not an early game killer but more of a mid to end game one (which is also why I've found Corrupt super good on him). He needs to tier up so his tentacle gets stronger. At tier 1 he pretty much needs to farm. Tier 2 he can easily force survivors to another loop or a dead zone where they are gonna hit, and tier 3 range is no joke, I've hit survivors through a window in a TL wall even if though I was at the other side of the loop.

One thing that I noticed though is that with the right set of add-ons you can tier up pretty quickly if you spend some time farming not only the survivors but also the zombies. This is especially true given that the zombies will respawn pretty quickly (my guess is that they respawn somewhere around 10 seconds or less after being destroyed). They do respawn at random areas and rarely close to you, but you can get a zombie to farm again pretty quickly. Then, once you reach tier 3, you no longer need to destroy the zombies because not only have you become as deadly as you can with your tentacle, but the zombies will also add up a decent and very creative map control/tracking mechanism to his power.

So my thoughts are that once Nemesis goes live and a lot of people start playing him for real, a lot of the player base will start to see the zombies as a way to tier up rather than using them for other functions. So I thought that maybe they should take a bit longer to respawn, so the Nemesis players see them as a valuable resource rather than an early farm. They would still be able to farm them off for sure, but it could encourage the players to get their power from contaminating survivors and farming zombies when they are closers to tiering up. Besides, it would also make the zombies' map control slightly less oppressive. Since survivors have to use some of their single-use resources to get rid of the zombies, it makes sense that they would get rid of them for longer.

Besides, here are my thought after playing a lot of the PTB

  1. I think Nemesis is a nice killer. From now, I don't think he will be top tier but probably A-B tier depending on how well people manage to tier up his power early in the game. Besides, the whole zombie mechanics making me as a survivor be even more aware of my surroundings than I would normally be was a super fun challenge.
  2. I love the new training mode where you can play against bots and I wish this feature was already in the game when I got it. I do think that BHVR should implement a system where you can set up your build and your character to play against the bots because a lot of times I would like to see how a killer power or a survivor perk works before going into an actual match. This may be something that BHVR will implement in the future, but it would be pretty nice to have in the game.
  3. Killer mains be ready for a lot of Flashbangs and Blast Mine swf meme builds. They are nice and I don't think they are gonna be super common as meta as they will just blind you for a tiny second and buy survivors some extra chase time, but survivor bullies will certainly use them lol
  4. I've found the Nemesis' perks kinda weak and I don't think we're gonna see their teachables in use at all in my opinion. Eruption seemed to be intended like a controllable surge, but the long slow down, the time it requires to kick multiple gens to get value from it and the fact that you can't activate it with special attacks seems like it makes a big waste of time.
  5. BHVR was very creative in this PTB and it was a nice and healthy addition to the game. I say this not only seeing the killer's power but also the survivor's perks so kudos to the devs for that! :)

I still don't get how can people consider T3 and good, it's literally just 1 meter increase from 5m to 6m. I've played nemesis extensively and imo it's a waste of time to attempt going for T3 unless survivors literally give it you.

T2 is where all the power is and that one is very easy to reach. Back to the topic, no I don't (nor really care) think zombies should respawn longer. They already roam into dead parts of the map so killing any that get in your way around gens already punishes you since they'll now spawn somewhere you don't need them and if you kill them in areas where they shouldn't be, you're wasting time beiing in those areas.

If T3 gets buffed a lot then sure, make them respawn longer and make T3 even harder to reach but current T3 is a joke imao.

If it were up to me, there would be 3 zombies per map and each would take around 40-60 seconds to respawn instead of the current 10-15 it is now. In addition, Id make zombies give about double the mutation points they give currently, since tier 3 of Nemmy's power hardly has any oomph to it in the first place.

My second idea (that would occur INSTEAD of the first one I listed) is they could make Nem and his zombies get a bit more powerful for every infected Survivor, since right now Survivors are getting intentionally infected by zombies to rob him of his power. I'd make each infected Survivor shave 0.25 seconds off his power fatigue cooldown and both zombies move about 10% faster for each infected Survivor as well. Either of these changes would be perfect I think.

No, it already takes a long time and multiple zombies to tier up.
