New DBD LOGO
Hello ^^
I don't know if you noticed but with the reveal of the Resident Evil Chapter, DBD logo changed.
Not only the text part, that used to be the font Roboto in LIGHT, and is now using a really BOLD font.
But the skulls part of the logo is now way less detailed.
Here is two pictures [OLD then NEW]
I personnally like the Old version more, and always loved how the game design, ingame and on communication, used to play with the Roboto font and it's weight.
----
The last time we saw the old version of the logo was the day of the anniversary. And my question is :
Did you notice the change and what do you think about it ?

Yes and I don't care
Its a logo change, it doesn't do anything else.
I noticed it but I didn't really care

Yes. I prefer the old version
I'm not that fussed, but yeah the old one was better designed in my eyes.

Yes. I prefer the old version
It's not that big of a deal to me, But I do prefer the old logo over the newer one.

Yes. I prefer the old version
So disappointed they removed the skulls. Old one had character. New one is just so boring and uninspired.

yeah i could get use to the font change but the skulls getting removed feels weird, and doesn't make sense coz at first glare it could be read as a "day-alive" counter instead of 4 survivors vs 1 killer.

It looks to me like the logo was just changed for the purposes of the chapter release- it's stylized, as it often is depending on the event, holiday, or chapter.
I'm not sure if that actually translates to "they permanently changed the logo!!?"
Especially since the two pictures you used aren't actually from different times, like 2019 vs. 2021 or something. Both of these are for basically the same event- the RE chapter reveal & release is basically a part of the 5th anniversary. So again, I wouldn't immediately jump to "old vs. new" here.
It just looks to me like because they shrunk the skull-tally icon, they decided to lose a few of the details which are more visible when the image is bigger. Also possibly perhaps because of color contrast- the black silhouette of the skulls might look a bit weird against the black of Leon's bulletproof vest or the darker colors of Nemesis' tentacle and such.
The font change is also not that surprising either. Since it's adapted to look more similar and align with the Resident Evil font they used rather than contrast it.
I wouldn't read into it that much. These are just aesthetic changes for the chapter specifically. I doubt they're actually letting go of the detailed skull tally, that's present in much of their media, merchandise, and even in-game like in loading screens. You don't typically just swap logos like that on the fly unless you're rebranding, which I don't think DBD is doing.

No and I don't care
I'm almost sure that it's an official logo rework. They changed their logo on their Steam page as well, and even in their overview image. If I'm wrong I will eat crow.
EDIT: I voted the wrong poll option. I meant to vote "Yes and I don't care."
