Killer Free Perks desperately need buffs.
So, a bit ago Otz did an 11 hour video going over every single perk in the game and also made a rough tierlist based on how many stars out of 5 he gave each perk. For reference, this is that tier list.
That is a pretty solid piece of work. People might have minor quibbles here and there but... I personally thing that this is a pretty solid Perk Tier List. Now... what I've done is taken that and gone in and edited it so the tier list only contains perks players can acquire with ONLY Blood Points.
That's rather striking isn't it?
7 vs 1 5 star perks.
6 vs 4 2 star perks.
9 vs 4 3 star perks.
Meanwhile Killers are rocking a truly staggering 9 terrible 1 star perks, while Survivors only have 3. A full 40.9% of Killer's free perks are... pretty terrible. Also, if it weren't for Tinkerer getting buffed not too long ago... Killers would have a big old whopping zero excellent 5 star perks.
This needs to be changed, and changed quickly.
I'm sure some of you people have noticed too, but when I play Survivor, I almost always get matched against complete newbies or red rank killers with... very very little in between. I swear, there's very very few Green and Purple rank Killers out there. I am approximately 80% certain that this perk discrepancy is why. The quality of builds you can get without investing Iridescent Shards as Killer is... just not there. If a Killer player is routinely getting slapped down over the head by Survivors who have fantastic perks... why would they invest Iri shards to try to fix it? I mean you can fix it by investing Iri Shards into the Killer side and obviously some do... but... a lot don't. That's why Killer queues at rank 20 are very long and they get really really fast at higher ranks. Lots of people start playing Killer, but stop when this mismatch of easy to aquire perk power happens.
So, what needs to be done? Well... it should be pretty obvious. Start buffing or reworking as many of those 9 terrible killer perks asap. Maybe starting with Huntress or Wraith since they got some changes recently and neither has even a single 3* perk.
Edit: I just noticed that I accidentally took Stridor out of the 2 star bucket. That should still be there but it doesn't really change the point I'm trying to make.

I don't understand what your tier list is trying to show. I thought you were going to talk about common perks, but I don't understand what a "free" perk is if that's not what your talking about. What perk doesn't cost bloodpoints to level up? I am very confused.

Free just means the perks that you have available just by buying the base version. No dlc.
A lot of the killer meta revolves around dlc perks compared to survivors that have a solid selection at no extra cost.

Oh ok I see what he is saying. Yeah I feel bad for killers who can't afford any DLC. It's pretty much a death sentence to not have at least 2 gen slowdown perks unless your either nurse or spirit.

Yeah.
I've kinda noticed the discrepancy here.

WeenieDog pretty much got it right. The 2nd Tier List are perks you can acquire with only Blood Points. So... Base set + teachables from free killers.

To be fair, making another meta Survivor perk is tricky especially considering what they have that's already meta. Lucky Break was probably going to come close but it's duration got cut in half.
