Open handed is decent after it's buffs also Ace in the hole is a great boost to your item/add-on hoarding

Ace at least has perks that aren't overshadowed by another perk, so while not great Ace has exclusive perks that only his perks do (there's no other perk that increases luck, increase aura ranges, or allow you to get add-ons in chest and take add-ons outside of a trial). Steve in the meanwhile only has perks that are overshadowed. Babysitter is a worse Borrowed Time/We'll Make It, Camaraderie is a worse Kindred (I know Camaraderie is nothing like Kindred, but I mean it as Kindred is just a better perk to take if you plan on using a get hooked perk), Second Wind will be a worse Resurgence when Jill releases.
That's why I personally consider Steve the worst survivor perk wise, because his perks are off-brand versions of good perks.

Fixated in my opinion is like a slower urban evasion but for walking.
Mettle of Man is ehh.
Only good perk for stevie is camraderie and thats not even good its okay

At least Ace has two okay-ish perks, the new Open-Handed is underrated IMO, works so well with Bond.

Ash. He has Buckle Up, arguably the worst perk in the game, MoM, and Flip-Flop that are situational at best and require a lot to activate.

Its ace, 2/3 perks do nothing, and the 3rd is extra addons on a mediocre item

Laurie Strode, David, Quentin, Tapp
Quentin - Vigil and Wake up are garbage, and while I do like Pharmacy a lot, it's still not too strong and doesn't fit into any build aside from an entirely item based loadout. I can't name the last time I saw any of these perks in use aside from adepts.
Ash - Buckle Up is useless, and MoM is too hard to proc, but at least Flip Flop sees occasional use with Power Struggle.
Ace - Ace at least has 2 perks that can work extremely well at their intended purpose, Open Handed and Ace in the Hole, while Up the Ante is a gimmick that's surprisingly useful in a 4 man. Open handed is also nutty when combined with Kindred.

Mettle of Man you practically have to ######### and hope the game is working in your favor to activate
Flip-Flop only really works in builds and is fairly niche
Buckle Up (######### does that perk do again? Literally I'm looking it up), oh great so I can watch my teammates not heal from 48 meters away and see auras... yeah that perk is so bad

Ash 100% Nine times out of ten, you'd have to throw the game just to get mettle of man to work. Flip-flop is okish but for the most part, it's overshadowed by Unbreakable. Buckle up is just genuinely useless. I have no idea why it's even in the game.
