Trying to understand why things don't get fixed
Standing next to a window. The indicator on screen clearly says pressing r1 will make me climb through the window. I'm not moving. Not even touching the sticks on my controller. Press r1 and throw down the pallet nearby despite the indicator on screen clearly telling me another action will take place.
This type of thing happens frequently where the message on screen says pressing a button will do one thing yet does another. I don't code so I'll ask if someone that understands coding can tell me if this is a problem that's all that difficult to rectify. It just seems to me if the display on the screen says pressing a button well result in a specific action that should be what happens, but maybe I just don't realize how difficult it would be to rectify this issue.

Im still trying to figure a map were you have a pallet that close to a window XD
But killer have this problem when they try to pick up a survivor most of the time its only because you face the wrong direction

They have about 1000 bugs to fix and about 15000 gameplay and balance issues to rework. That's why they sort bugs and issues according to their "urgency", and only work on the most urgent ones, because they don't have enough resources to work on everything at the same time. So "unurgent" bugs and issues can remain in the game for years. The devs will know about them, but won't spend resources on fixing it, until everything more important is done.

Got it. In other words this one is never getting fixed because bhvr will never consider it urgent.

Yeah. PC players have two interaction buttons while controller players have 1. It's why you see so many PC players instantly heal survivors at the pallet while when I play on PS4, I have to hover over them for a few seconds until I see the prompt to heal or else I end up dropping the pallet by mistake. Yes, it does suck and I know how you feel.

By default, yes. Controller only has 1 interaction button. However, you can actually rebind the buttons. I've done so myself (I usually use Mouse and keyboard for Killer but I use controller for Survivor). I use an X-box controller and I rebound actions (Dropping pallets, vaulting, etc) to Y. That way, it wouldn't overlap with interactions (Healing, doing gens, etc). I used to play on PS4 myself. Perhaps you could rebind either actions or interactions to triangle? If I remember correctly, triangle isn't used for anything in DBD by default.

I love when I have Saboteur equipped for a challenge and I unhook someone that wants to be healed under the hook, it says I'll heal them but instead I start to sabo the hook.
I've had tier 3 madness and it's prevented me from unhooking someone quickly because it keeps changing between unhook and snap out of it.
It didn't used to be this bad but sometime after the twins release if you have multiple interactions or multiple actions nearby the game seems to have issues with handling them.

Remind to triangle? I never tried that. Wouldn't that just replace R1 and I'll have the same problem?

I had to re map my buttons there is nothing more anoying then going for a unhook and you start healing yourself instead of unhook.. or healing yourself instead of do a gen.....or throw pallet it says and you start healing or pick up a item ohh it’s beyond a joke 😂 my friend dies so much do to it and I just laugh when it happens the best is when you in a pallet 😂😂 you see Somone run towards you be4 you can crawl booopp the pallet has been thrown coz they tried to heal you 😂I mean it’s frustrating but hella funny

It might be different on console because I never thought to rebind my buttons on my PS4. However, as I stated previously, interactions (Healing, doing gens, etc) are separate to actions (Dropping pallets, vaulting, etc). At least, they're separate options on PC.

I haven't thought of trying that. I'll look and see if I can switch the buttons for those things. Not sure you can on PS4 but I'll look

I tried it on PS4 and surprisingly, I can bind Actions to another button separately. I feel like I've never noticed that layout on the options before. I guess this will take some time to get used to, lol.

It took me quite a bit of getting used to but it's well worth it I say. I honestly don't know why Interactions and actions aren't separate by default on Console. Makes no sense to me but oh well. At least you and the OP hopefully have a better time from now on.
