The horror aspect of being trapped in some random woods and some crazy killer chasing you. The game obviously becomes less scary overtime but it’s the only game that feels like that. As for what’s keeping me playing, honestly just nurse.

Other than being able to play as Freddy, the thing I enjoy most about DBD is how the game used to be. As I've said on another thread, my dissatisfaction with the current state of the game grows stronger day by day. I keep trying to, somehow, have the same experience I had when I first started playing DBD back in 2018, because that was what made my fall in love with this game.

And it disheartens me to say that I am not quite succeeding in doing so.

I like how it's a strategy game more than a it's skill based game. I don't like FPS games mainly because aim and reaction times are what matters most in them. I like to plan ahead and outsmart my opponents, which is why I love this game.

I started playing because my brother said that it was a better Friday the 13th, we played the other game together, but one day they removed the ability to kill your own teammates & ever since we grew unsatisfied with the game. Honestly, he probably googled something like " games like Friday the 13th" and he saw some YouTube videos about it. He showed me the cover art for the game & I was like is that supposed to be Jason? He was like yeah.

What made me stick around was how unique it is, other games have tried to be as addictive to this one but they all fall short.

I also love that you can play as so many Iconic killers, as well as unique ones.

All that's nice, but what I really appreciate is the ability of adorning my killers & survivors with fabulous outfits. Currently, I want a scarlet dress with a Kentucky Derby hat for nurse, and also the Lady Nimitri outfit for Nemesis.

Started playing cause I thought the characters looked interesting.

Now my favorite thing about this game is getting sexy 4ks with sally.

The terrible community and consistent FPS drops that remind me just how awesome other games are.

Same, I'm a fan of comedy more than horror personally.

It's the fact that every trial is its own self-contained story. There will be standout moments, different behavioirs and styles, changes in flow, etc..

Sometimes, I can get really invested in particular trials, whether watching or playing, because of how the trial changes, or the heroic, dumb or funny actions of other players. I recall one stream with a Youtuber I cannot remember, where this poor new player was clearly thrown in at the deep end with high-rank players and a tunnelling Hillbilly. This guy made it his mission to protect him at all cost and I remember him saying: "I've never wanted a survivor to escape so much in all my life, and that includes me!".

It's those mini dramas that keep me invested.

It was a new kind of game and interesting. I love and hate it sometimes but i always come back to play it. No other game catched me for so long like DBD.

I love escape games and especially when the character can be seen as a third person.

Although the community is not perfect, i embrace the game that gives me exactly what i like, scary atmosphere, fun character and horrifying killers to hide from.

You mean when you try to 50/50 her at a pallet but now even can't slow crawl over it without making grunts that gives you away to the Spirit player with their $200 P2W headphones?

    Building Devour Hope.

And yes, i'm leaving "successfully" out of it, cause i prefer it if the Perk doesn't always work out.

Makes the times it does work all the more juicy.
