Is suiciding on hook still an issue?
Ever since they reworked the struggling mechanic with skill checks suicide on hook has become less frequent

I have never seen it as an issue in the first place. But I can totally imagine that some players are more motivated to stay in the Trial, when they dont have to break their Spacebar or Controller. Let alone that spamming Struggle was annoying and at least for me the main reason why I did not like to be hooked two times.

A bit. If someone wants to leave, they should be taking the penalty as the punishment they do deserve. Quitters ruin the trial for everyone else and should be discouraged, not allowed to exploit loopholes that aren't even available to everyone.

It never was. They need to change it so that it is an option, however. As right now if I get first hooked and there's only one survivor left, it takes about a minute for me to die if I want to give them a chance at an escape...

I've seen a lot more DCs lately and I mean a lot more, my survivor games, killer games and even a streamer I watch
I think making it slower to suicide on hook just made people go back to DCs again but that's speculation
Anyone else notice this or am I just crazy?

I still think the skillchecks are pointless, tbh. With how laggy and inconsistent skillchecks can be, I've found that toward the point where it gets smaller, people frequently miss the skillchecks and have found myself a couple of times 'failing' them when I've clearly timed it correctly. I'd rather the ridiculous mashing than that tbh.

It's still an issue in the sense that people killing themselves early into a match really screws over the rest of the team. Making it no longer instant helps a bit as it helps incentive playing the match out.

I'm not a fan of the hook skill checks, would rather hold down a button. But as for your question, It has reduced A LOT, and buys the killer time to find the hatch or travel to it before the last survivor.
People have begun to DC more, but whatever, the DC penalty will get them in the end.

I hate that they get smaller. There's been so many times I'm almost at someone but they die because they missed a skill check at the end speeding up the timer.
As far as the original question - less successful suicides but seeing more players run up to killer to be hooked again or sandbag teammates that saved them when they wanted to suicide. I've stopped rescuing anyone that attempts escape because of how often they decide to spend rest of time in match screwing over the team.

People still suicide on hook, there's just time to forcibly rescue them now. (Though suiciders usually just stand there and wait for the killer to get them again. Also, they end up taking a chunk out of benevolent emblems when they do successfully suicide because they take more than 10 seconds to die.)

That was already the case with 1st hook suicides.

It’s annoying since I can get farmed by my teammates before the second skillcheck even pops up so I just don’t hit my ds and indicate to the killer I want to get out of it.
If I get annoyed enough I might dc but I take that as a sign to play a different game.
