Some of these challenges are so terribly designed. You should be able to do it if you put on Nemesis or Furtive Chase.

Yeah, I boggled at this one when I saw it. Looks exactly like one of those impossible parody challenges.
I'm irritated because this is a Plague challenge... but the perks that enable it in any sort of controlled fashion, Nemesis and Furtive Chase, aren't her perks and I don't have Ghostface or Oni. They're not even in this week's Shrine of Secrets. So I just straight up cannot do this until I buy a new killer.
Also pretty displeased to see 'hide within 10m of the killer' making its less than glorious return, though at least it isn't a do-in-one-trial this time.

Use DS. Use For the People.
I don't really get why this a challenge for Plague and Bill's tome, because neither of them have obsession swapping perks.

last level had a "hook the obsession 6 times" challenge, and I did it in 1 game with nemesis. so it's very possible (you can also try to force a DS)

Nemesis, Furtive Chase, eating DSs. You need to force it, yes, but it can be done.
If you’re lucky, you may even see someone use For the People.
Definitely not impossible, though it does require a bit of brute force.

I just realised that the only way to do this challenge is locked behind a Paywall, having to buy either Ghostface or Oni, or hope one of their perks gets put on the shrine (which it isn't). It's not a challenge you need to do to reach the end of the level, but still kinda scummy of them.

A killer challenge that relies on the survivors to bring and use certain perks is pretty bogus. DS isn't very common anymore and I'd have to tunnel players to even try to find it, and For The People is a meme perk that's only going to be used to any extent for another challenge in this tome.
So no, I consider this undoable until I get Nemesis or Furtive Chase.

Because although Bill and Plague have their lore, Zarina and Trapper are also getting challenges. This level does actually feature a For The People challenge which is probably why this hooking obsession challenges is here. They're expecting by that part of the level, for people to be swapping obsessions a lot.

It helps that the survivors have a challenge to use For The People in the same Tome but I do agree - horrible challenge.
As others have stated, Nemesis and Furtive Chase are your friends here

The easy way to complete the challenge is to tunnel every person you last hooked to maybe get a DS and change the obsession. (If you don't have the necessary perks to change obsession)
This challenge forces peoples to turn into temporary tunnelers xD

how is it poorly designed? It is a challenge..... not a freebie.... some are harder than others. Maybe try being more constructive next time and telling them how they can complete it, without saying that it is poorly designed.... which doesnt even make sense. It might seem silly to you, but there is no "design" element that is broken or poor, when saying hook obsession 4 times in a trial, when there are several different ways to do it.

If you have the perks, do rancor roulette - rancor, nemesis, furtive chase and either myc or dead man's grip, it's pretty fun honestly

Nemesis is a good perk for that or furtive chase if you dont have those perk you can always tunnel a survivor and hope he DS you

Furtive Chase is my standby for obsession challenges, but I agree that it sucks that the only way to have any real control over this is to have perks from other killers who aren't even involved in the tome/rift.

The only way this would work foryou is if you hook your obsession 2 times, and have atleast two people use decisive (must hook them after decisive)

We just had a Plague challenge that encouraged facecamping, and now we have one that encourages tunneling. Lovely.

Not trying to say the mission is good or anything but I think you can still get it done... you just need to tunnel a survivo into oblivion, it it has DS... then you will get the stun but also a new obsession.

In the last level there was "hook the obsession 8 times" with furtive chase and strategic camping I managed to get it done in one match. Only got a 2k but I had fun and got a grindy challenge out of the way ASAP.

I always bring out Ghost Face with Furtive Chase, Nemesis, A Nurse's Calling, and Make Your Choice for these obsession challenges.

@glitchboi My point is they aren't encouraging toxic gameplay, people resort to it because they don't wanna challenge themself. I got it second try, no lame 'tactics' (facecamping) required.
