Is the nurse a ghost?
The nurse has a faster mobility and even floating around while Spirit is walking and disappearing to the other world.
Maybe the nurse died at some point and she is a ghost like Spirit?

No wonder people playing as ghostface are good at nurse, and vice versa.

It's never said in any of her lore if she died, but many people think she did. I personally don't think she did and it only has to do with the abilities the entity gave her. Basically, it's all about head cannon. Do you think she died or no?

I think she did die. if not then probably her design was intentionally supernatural to make her look creepy.

But then wouldn't she go to a different dimension while blinking than Wraith does while being cloaked? She'd go to the same place Spirit does, so I'm gonna go with no.
This is my theory with her.
She experienced a lot of mental trauma to the point where she couldn't do much more than sit and basically be a vegetable. Her legs don't work right because she didn't use them enough, so the Entity made her float so she could kill for it.

Maybe the mental trauma that the Nurse suffered (and inflicted) manifested itself physically so that players see her as a deformed spectre?
Just throwing possible interpretations out there.
