It's a lawsuit going on since 2018. It's why Friday the 13th died, and it's why the game hasn't updated since 2018. No one can use Jason until it's resolved. The dbd devs can't do jack ######### about it.
Also, you say "nothing hard". Getting a license can be extremely challenging if the people holding it are difficult to deal with.

many people have suggested him. Their have been concepts menu themes fan-made names. He's in a lawsuit that keeps him from going anywhere and until that is resolved he cannot come to dbd.

He's been suggested a lot and I'm guessing for years now. I know the devs have said that Jason has a standing invitation to be added to the game whenever. The problem is the legal disputes over the rights to the Friday the 13th property. Unfortunately because of Covid, the IP rights case was pushed back. It was supposed to be finished in December, but unfortunately one of the judges presiding over the case passed away, which pushed the case back even further. Now because court cases are kind of backed up, they had to shelve this case since it's not really a priority case and there are much more important cases in the court systems that need to be taken care of. So it might be a while until we see Jason in here.
