Ace.
Why?
He dosen't need any changes, He is perfect as he is rn. Please leave Ace alone.

He is pretty much the same with better modeled hair/beard and a neutral expression (which wouldn’t be like that in-game)
1 -
Why doesn't he smile at the new model?
1 -
It’s probably just modeled with a neutral expression so he is on par with the other survs models and animations are thus easier to create.

Ace and David look worse tbh. It’s worth it though for how godly new Jake is.

He does smirk, just contrast isn't as high as in the old one and default expression isn't as overdone as if some 12 yo kid posed a model in a gmod.
Old models had high contrasts on them, new ones are smoother both in texture settings and models.

Hey! Hey! Wanna know how can models look like with expression baked on them initially?
I don't want more of this, so let the artists do their thing.
3 -
I swear to god if he doesnt smile ingame...

Since the survivors don't differ in anything except the model, do they all have to have the same expression? Wouldn't it be better for everyone to have their own expression?
The only model that I liked was Meg's, and it wasn't that I was very enthusiastic about it. I just see a very dark future for these new models.

Having a model with a set in stone expression as a base is a stupidly bad idea.
It is better to have a default, neutral facial animation and then set it in game to a different state.
1 -
The base models should be the same, to make shared animations possible.
The idle animations in the lobby for example should be unique. If possible give them also unique expressions in-game. But those take the base model as well and would still be easier to create if all survs share the same base (neutral) expression

Uhm... okay?

Guess you didn't get it.
It doesn't nullify the possibility of survivors having their own, diverse set of default facial expressions, as they can be set in game rather than baked into the model by default.
Said Ace in the preview pic could have massive grin in the game 24/7 even though here he has a slight smirk by default.
So, to more easily answer your first question. All survivors having their own, unique expression is a possibility that will probably be used to some extent.

I don't know how this the same, one is a confident cool guy and the other is just a drunk old man.
4 -
That’s really only because of the expression.
look at the Video, there he has the confident facial expression even with the new model.

Lol. So many people thirsting over new Jake. Can't blame them though.
Because they finally added facial animations to the new models.
The older ones smirked simply because the model had a smirk put on him. Now, he can finally move his lips to MAKE a smirk.

Im sorry but this is what i see.

Maybe you should have given that as feedback then instead of your initial post, where you pretty much just said ‚I Don’t like change‘.
it is a work in progress after all, and the smirk is there, and the base model does definitely look like Ace. I can see what you mean with that underbite (I think that’s what it’s called) in the Animation, but that wasn’t your feedback in the OP.

That's better 🤗

I'm sorry but that comment had me giggling 🤭

They gave him depression, made his head bigger, and nerfed his goatee.
I'm not really liking this model rework.
