Ashy Slashy puppet still busted

I bought the Water Trash outfit for Ash a while back during the Chinese New Year event and the Ashy Slashy puppet hasn't ever held items properly. In lobby, he'll hold most items in his mouth like he's supposed to, but items like the firecracker clip through his face (pictured).
Regardless of how he looks in lobby however, items during matches are held horizontally away from Ash's body. I don't have a picture of it, but if he holds a med kit or a toolbox, it will stick out as if it's defying gravity.
I love the puppet, but it makes it awkward to play with and it's a huge bummer especially because I paid for him and I can't use him the way he's intended to.
