How offten do you face HillBilly?
For me... it is less offten.
Comments
-
Rank 2, and billy is very rare, maybe once in 50 games?
4 -
I've faced him one time in the past four or so months.
He thoroughly ######### me and my team, which just reinforces my opinion that people who stuck with him are Billy Gods.
3 -
So rare sadly.
2 -
Very rare, like a unicorn. I admittedly I don't play survivor that much lately other then to do tome challenges but since this tome started I haven't seen a single one, I've even run into more twins. I might just be unlucky though
4 -
Seems like I am not the only one :D
1 -
3 or 4 this year and we play a couple hours almost every day. We miss him :(
0 -
Wow... that's sad.
3 -
Billy is an endangered species sadly.
7 -
Feels like once a year. He's extremely rare to see after his rework.Good Billy players are even more rare
7 -
wait... Who?
6 -
Billies are near extinction and can only be found in select zoo's across the world
16 -
I haven't faced a Hillbilly since he was nerfed.
6 -
This one made me laugh :D
1 -
Last one I played against was about 3 days ago, he gave up after he overheated twice.
But since the nerf I've seen about 4 billies in total.
6 -
As rare as the Twins.
0 -
About once recently but I do play him a lot. Still decent but not as good as before
0 -
Billy is fine honestly balance wise. People just abandoned him for Oni and blight like cowards.
1 -
After the cataclysmic Overheat of 2020, DBD's remaining Billies were relocated to a reserve in the old Thompson House, where they peacefully slaughter their parents' pigs and zoom around to their heart's content. Visitors are advised not to approach.
10 -
No, it's mostly the fact that survivors don't know/forgot how to play against him, so these "Billy Gods" get a ton of free wins. For new players it's basically like he never existed.
2 -
That's kind of the problem, though. Billy isn't a bad killer. He's got great mobility and an instadown that's almost always available. The problem is twofold; he's not the best at what he does, and he's not the easiest at what he does. Other killers encroached on his market space around the time of his nerf, and deleting all of his addons that people used combined with overheat stripped the veil away on how much more consistent results you can get on those other killers. Notice how common Bubba is? Bubba can instadown survivors no matter how much they juke him if he catches them without a window or a pallet. Little skill necessary even if your opponent is very skilled. Oni pretty much has his power on demand after the beginning of the match and has way more forgiving hitboxes. Blight can zoom around the map and zoom after survivors looping him - same charging in straight lines gameplay, improved ability to reactively change course, turn corners after a survivor, and flick.
There isn't much reason to play Billy when other killers can get the same effects more often or with less effort. You can call people cowards all you like, but it doesn't change that Billy is a very rare sight these days despite being a killer that's able to do a lot, and that clearly indicates something is wrong.
15 -
Play him then
At the highest rank possible.
9 -
I still play him often. He needs an addon pass. More fun addons and less penalties for bringing addons.
4 -
I play as Rank 1 survivor and it's really quite rare that I see a Hillbilly.
2 -
Very rarely. I can go a whole week and not see Billy.
3 -
Very rarely.
Outside of myself, I don't see other Billy players.
Ever since his rework, I must've faced 3 or 4 max. I play around 20+ matches every week as a survivor. Rarely, 15+ matches per day as survivor.
3 -
Not to disagree with you, but he is viable at rank 1 if you know what you're doing. The exception being Lampkin Lane or Badham Preschool (ANY OF THEM). He's definitely balanced, but a majority of his add-ons don't feel worth anything. Even double steering Billy feels awful. I do think BHVR intentionally sunk Billy so they could push Oni and Blight.
4 -
I face more Bubbas than Billies :( Where are you Billy?!
5 -
Ive faced like 3 since his rework. I play him all the time but i do agree with the statement theres just better options then him at what he would be good at. Oni can slug everyone in 30 seconds. Bubba can chew through pallets mow through survivors and bt and not have to worry about tantruming at like all. Blight has better all around map pressure. Then we are getting so many bad billy maps. Imma crap myself as billy on the new one. Also yeah the addons are #########.
6 -
Out with the old; in with the new.
Theres no arguments about Oni vs Hillbilly anymore.
1 -
I do think BHVR intentionally sunk Billy so they could push Oni and Blight.
That's the Tin Foil Hat Theory.
But the more people mention it, the more I agree with it. A small part of me refuses to believe it.
It's funny how FREE killers get the short end of the stick 99% of the time whereas paid killers always get favoritism. I get one earns you money, but they both all cosmetics If I were to go in that zone, both are in the same game, both are being played. Look how many fixes, changes & buffs Blight got ever since He was released in August last year. It's mind-blowing, whereas Billy didn't get an update since last August.
He is viable at rank 1, yes, only if his steering was better, hitboxes better, ghost saw didn't exist amongst a plethora of things. He can still wreck at rank 1 but the amount of work & experience needed in order to do so is pretty high, especially when dealing with survivors that are decent+
He is not a priority right now, at least that's the message I'm getting from BHVR at the moment. If u hope for a buff the best chances are the mid-chapter & Chapter patches which are usually 1-2 months apart from each other. If he doesn't get one, you'll have to hope for the next ones & repeat. Then again, not many people play Billy unfortunately and the small feedback we provide usually falls on deaf ears, knowing BHVR.

This. I feel like I play againts Bubba offten. Too offten.
2 -
Bubbas just better in the close range especially if ya throw decent addons on and bamboozle he can give you a run. A lot of people put bubba above billy now. Which is entirely opposite of pre rework.
1 -
True. I would rather face Billy. Bubba is too boring and easy. Also for some reason all my teammates always die so quick againts him xD.
1 -
I would much more like to go against Billy than Bubba, at least Billy requires skill to get you to the basement x(
2 -
I try to play Oni and I'm underwhelmed. It's more difficult to apply pressure, especially without anti-healing. Survivors tend to have insta-smoothing brains when I start a backrev as Billy and they just die. Against an Oni they immediately find a vault etc. I assume it's because they think I'll longsaw. Idk.
1 -
Interesting.
I found Oni to be way easier & more powerful than Billy. Especially when one uses his addons.
Oni is the easier & more balanced version of Billy
My build goes as follows for Oni:
- BBQ
- Infectious - Mandatory
- Ruin / Pop - I use Ruin
- Corrupt - Mandatory
1 -
Same exact build on Hillbilly. If I'm feeling dangerous I'll swap Corrupt for Monitor.
0 -
Interesting. My Hillbilly build:
- BBQ
- Enduring
- Spirit Fury
- Discordance
My Oni:
- BBQ
- Monitor
- Infectious
- Whispers
0 -
Enduring and Spirit Fury are an interesting choice. I prefer some gen regression, but maybe not being so punished by pallets would have the same effect. If a survivor doesn't greed pallets then your build is probably more likely to succeed.
0 -
The best gen regression is survivors on hooks. E/SF reduces chase time. Spirit Fury at the right moment is an instant dying state. Since the survivor is still going through the pallet drop animation when the killers coming out of the stun.
Discordance is perfect for those cross map snipes. One of the better tracking perks for Billy.
1 -
Maybe cause people don't want to deal with a mechanic that can screw them out of a kill if you chose to run Engravings...
Not like that hits him hard or anything. (Aka. it does)
2 -
Tbh. imho.
Billy is still Far better than Bubba by Tenfold.
People that say Bubba is better than Billy. has NEVER played them both on a good skill level / ceiling
0 -
Very rarely, used to see him all the time pre nerf. Now I see blight all the time which isn't a bad thing but I do miss the old chainsaw boi
1 -
Cannibal has a much easier time using his chainsaw in chase. Billy has mobility advantages and cross map potential.
Curving is not as effective as just being Cannibal however.
5 -
As bubba. they will NEVER allow you to get a single chainsaw down.
With Billy. you can still down with the chainsaw since you have Access to Lopro.
Like i said. Billy will 100% Be Better than Bubba in every shape way or form.
0 -
Otz actually did this matchup.
2 -
Even without Lopro you should still be getting downs as Billy. Otherwise, get some friends and practice in KYF.
0 -
Frankly, I don’t even like Lopro. Most pallets don’t allow a hit without impeccable timing on the charge.
Combine that with being a rare addon and the amount of practice needed is ridiculous for one to two possible hits a trial.
Not a fan. They should change Speed Limiter to have a Lopro effect so practice can be reasonably assured.
0 -
That billy made many Mistakes.
He missed alot of downs, Don't rely on that video just Cause it was uploaded by Otz
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/980224870 You want billy gameplay? there you go,
Yes i made a few mistakes this match. but i still held alot of pressure,
There's the video here for proof my guy, that in the right hands. billy is Hellova lot better than bubba,
Lopro was a ######### Ultra Rare. It LITERALLY gave you Speed Limiter which was a very bad tradeoff.
It wasn't even worth the Ultra rare status at that point, and Most pallets do allow you a hit with lopro.. Just feather the chainsaw and you'll get it,

The twitch vod is a decent Billy, but the survivors are almost braindead as well. Two alive for the three minute chase and neither one was working a generator? Especially after ruin was cleansed the gens should've started popping. There's no denying Lopro chains are good, but even still most plays are made without it. Bubba just has a better kit at the moment. Instantly refilling chainsaw? No overheat? Can be used mid chase and not in a straight line? He's in a better place. Does that mean he's more fun to play? Absolutely not. I love Billy and will always prefer to play him.
As for the Otz video, the Bubba clearly had a better 3gen, and a fantastic ruin spawn. Ruin inside his 3gen? Dude got handed a W. I don't think it was an apples to apples comparison.
