    If they won't touch The Game then they won't touch RPD. We're just going to have to live with getting massively outskilled.

    You remember the uproar with Midwich and The Game? Devs haven't touched them. They aren't going to touch this map.

    And yet those maps still appear like once every few days, and we're all still alive.

    True, but it doesn't make them enjoyable to play on. I've only played on the new map once this morning, before they shut it down, and while it looks good, I didn't enjoy it. It's a labyrinth. I honestly feel it should have been split in two.

    But while it may not be enjoyable to YOU, it is enjoyable to someone else. I don't want the map split. I love it exactly how it is. I love the size, I love that it's labyrinthine. That may frustrate some people, but there's a good chance that they love some maps that frustrate ME. And that's okay. This game has room enough for different maps that appeal to different people.

    Everyone just want maps with a weird building in the middle and a few trees around. If it deviates from that the map is trash.

    Yeah, I like the map. But it's probably been whined out of existence along with this glitch. Oh well; can't have nice things in DbD :(

    Midwich is somehow fit DBD. Because of how DBD maps work. It may be indoor, but the path usually wide open (the Game) and run in circle (Midwich). Racoon map is just a tight corridor to another tight corridor.

    At least in Midwich you only get confuse which side of the two sides of the map you're on. Racoon map is pretty much a maze.

    I've noticed. Whenever someone says that an indoor map is "bad" or "terribly designed" or "doesn't fit DBD" (the last of which is a pretty damn stupid argument. There are no interior locations in a fantasy realm where murderers keep killing innocent victims in perpetuity? Oh, okay. Guess I didn't read the rulebook) the only thing they ever say as "evidence" to back up their claim amounts to personal preference and nothing more. "The map is too big". "The map is too confusing". "The map is dull". "The map is boring". "There are too many pallets". "Killer XYZ isn't as good on that map". I've asked, and am still waiting, for someone to give me a detailed account as to all the ways that any given map causes actual gameplay interference, actually messes things up like the Twins being able to bodyblock (a removal that the killer mains complained about), preventing someone from being able to reach a generator, glitches like clipping errors or characters being able to get onto unreachable objects, etc.

    Nope. None of that. Ever. It's just "It's bad because it doesn't lend itself to this playstyle or that killer as much as some of the other maps do". In other words, nothing but pure, unbridled opinion based on nothing more than people wanting more of an advantage and not getting one. Then they scoff when I say that there are 30 maps in the game that are NOT indoors. "So what? A bad map is a bad map". Here's what: Just because you hate a map doesn't mean that it's objectively poorly designed, and just because you don't like playing on it doesn't mean that everyone else has to. Finally, just because you don't like it doesn't mean that you don't have plenty of other maps, some of which OTHER people can't stand, to balm your pain and give you plenty of opportunities for matches that DO suit your preferences.

    I learned to stop thinking that other people shouldn't get to enjoy what I don't like when I was like seven years old. I can't explain why so many other people fail to understand the concept.

    People have definitely been exploiting the opportunity, placing all the blame on the map itself (which worked perfectly fine in the PTB) as well as trying to leverage it into excuses for removing all indoor maps altogether. I don't think that most of them are actually, SERIOUSLY trying to achieve this, but several people have still said as much. It's annoying. I want this new map and I don't give a ######### whether other people like it or not. This game has plenty of room for all kinds of different maps. This one's unique, it's never been done before on this scale. I like it, and I want it kept in. The other people will have to live with it just like I have to live with two dozen maps that are fields dotted with trees.

    You know what? I actually agree with you on all but one thing here: the twins bodyblocking. That needed to stay. it gave them a unique strategy they could employ and now it's just gone for no real gain.

    I think it would be really confusing for new(er) players if that would be the case. The Map in itself is already very confusing, I think it would be really complicated if you have multiple versions and have some blocked off-areas which are accessible the time you played on it before.

    @Topic:

    I doubt that they will rework it. And I think it is alright, they should keep it like this in the game for a while. It is one map out of many, and nobody will have serious problems when getting it from time to time. It certainly is not my favorite map tho.

    However, I hope they make it brighter, like in the PTB. On the Live Servers the Map was really dark and while I am always for dark maps, this was a little bit too much for me.

    Is it odd I have played about twenty games since the latest chapter launched and have never got the new map? I keep hoping to see it but it never appears.
