crossplay feature supposed to act this way?

on the new chapter release day (which was yesterday) i was able to turn off crossplay since im a PC player but today when i found out it extends queue times, i decided to turn it off but when i went to switch it off it showed that it was off and it was greyed out so i couldn't switch it back on. is it supposed to act this way?

You have to be in the main menu to change your crossplay setting.
If you are in the play as survivor or play as killer menu it will not work
